How long have we been on a downward trajectory?
MattFox replied to Haywood_6's topic in Leicester City Forum
The Spurs “rivalry “ is peak KPFC Was funny for about 2 years and now is just a little sad -
Not sure I agree with all this But it’s easy to forget that the KPFC meme/backlash actually started to gain traction back in 2017/18 when Vichai was still alive I think they’d have been some form of opposition to KP build whatever happened
-
Disagree First leg at the KP we didn’t turn up, second we did but couldn’t finish them off
-
First one we were clear by a country mile then collapsed after Christmas then harder after lockdown Second one we were hit and miss all season and probably finished where we deserved (Even though we were 20 min away from sealing it)

Ex players who used to be linked with us

Any of Steve Walsh’s signings at Everton -
Basically admitted he turned off and wanted to play for a team that were our direct rivals at the time and beneath us in the table 6 months prior to joining them
-
I look back on this era fondly weirdly because I was 19-22 at the time and it was the first time going to the game myself and starting to drink properly etc. (Newcastle away in 2017 must be one of the best ends we’ve had for a non important game) But on the pitch it was a complete underperformance
-
Puel finished below the likes of Dyche’s Burnley and Fat Sam’s Everton The job he did on the pitch is massively overrated because of the drop off the past three years
-
KDH is a bottom half/ mid table player at this level at best Never really done it bar a purple patch in 21/22 at this level
-
Bit of fun… Mine is that Rodgers was right about Top and Rudkin but his ego meant he couldn’t do the right thing

Don’t think any player defines the late stage KPFC era better than Coady

We’ve been a premier league club for 18 out of 33 seasons and are firmly in the top 20 clubs of the last 40 years The championship is not our “natural level”
-
Beat the Champions League winners and the league runners up in that run
-
Rudkin is CEO in all but name at the moment
-
Wouldn’t surprise me if Whelan “retired” in the summer, Rudkin moved to CEO and a new DOF came in under Rudkin Dont hold me to this
-
Villa proved we never had the mentality to be a top side under Rodgers. It’s interesting the cup run in 2021 is a complete anomaly really, every other big game under him we bottled Litterally every single one As bad as it sounds I’m pretty certain we don’t beat United in the run in front of a full stadium or win at a full Wembley either
-
Is relegation a price worth paying for avoiding a PSR breach?
MattFox replied to ClaphamFox's topic in Leicester City Forum
Not sure they’ve decided that tbf Think they are just rank incompetent -
Bottling top 4 in 2020 has basically killed the club long term
-
Get them gone

When Nepo Baby clears off what will we call the stadium?
