Perhaps more interesting than who mathematically can't catch us is who has a realistically chance. If we maintain the current rate of 2.4 Points per game then nobody can. If we drop to 2 points per game then only Leeds/Southampton/Ipswich mathematically can (assumes they win every game, very unlikely) Even if we dropped to 1 point per game then it still is only the chasing 3 that have a realistic chance so effectively play-offs are guaranteed.

A few interesting stats, Foxes current points/game for the season is 2.4, if maintained nobody can catch us even if they win every game.. If we drop to 2 points/game for the rest of the season then only Ipswich, Southampton and Leeds can catch us. If we drop to 1.5 points/game for the rest of the season then only Ipswich, Southampton, Leeds and WBA can catch us.

Just a thought, well before my time but what sort of attendances were there at Filbert St? A little research would suggest more than current attendances until it became all seater. Leicester’s population has increased by more than 60% since the 60’s, I know many who would attend if they could, 40k ish seems perfectly reasonable. The club will do many analysis’ , these things can be modelled very accurately and if they proceed then it’s fairly certain we will fill it. ( of course the one caveat is club success, drop to league 1 and all calcs are blown out of the water)
