Does anyone know how much input he has in the transfers at Sheff Wed? Looks like the majority of their signings this season have been shocking - and quite a few that almost give me Cooper-esque “older and experienced” vibes

He is when there is someone able to actually receive it When it is Soumare and Ndidi whose first touch is effectively their pass back it will make it look worse

Ridiculous that he has kept playing him if he was injured when there was no need to

https://www.efl.com/news/2025/april/30/efl-statement--changes-to-championship-profit---sustainability-rules-approved-at-egm/ EFL Statement: Changes to Championship Profit & Sustainability Rules approved at EGM At an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) today, Clubs in the EFL approved changes to the Championship division’s Profit & Sustainability Rules (P&S) for the 2025/26 season to address the transition of Clubs between the EFL and Premier League. As is currently the case, all Clubs will still be required to file an estimated P&S calculation in March for the current season and the two immediately preceding seasons, irrespective of whether the Club was in the EFL or not for all or part of that time. As a result of the changes agreed today, from the 2025/26 season: • The Club will then file its audited accounts and a final P&S calculation with whichever League it is in at that time in the following December. • The EFL will be able to apply a sanction imposed by the Premier League’s independentCommission, with an equivalent provision included in the Premier League’s rules, should it be required. • When the EFL receives the estimated P&S calculation in March, it can still take pre-emptive action if a Club is forecasting a breach, which can be in the form of a business plan or requiring player sales once the transfer window opens in June. At an earlier Club Meeting in February of this year, Clubs approved other changes to the P&S rules relating to add backs, audit and disclosure. Following today’s votes, the full P&S rules for the 2025/26 season will be distributed to Clubs and published on EFL.com in due course. In addition, as part of a broader review of financial controls in the Division, discussions remaining ongoing amongst Championship Clubs on the merits of introducing a Squad Cost Ratio system which would limit clubs to spending to a set percentage of their income on player-related costs. The Premier League has been operating a similar shadow Squad Cost Ratio calculation during the 2024/25 season and will continue to do so in 2025/26.

RVN Post Match Ruud on performance RvN: “Disappointed with the performance. Against Brighton and Liverpool, we did everything we could in every sense and today wasn’t in that line, so that was disappointing.” Why couldn't you match Brighton and Liverpool performances? RvN: “Confidence is a big thing at the moment. The players go into the game and they want to build on these performances, the reconnection with the away supporters. The players want our captain to be in the best place possible in his final game for the football club. "But in little moments, the game changes and confidence drops. Then it’s difficult. There were two moments after the break where we were too open and they counter-attacked us. "Other than that we could have got ourselves back into the game with Bilal’s shot opportunity and of course Jamie’s penalty and get another goal for the football club. That was also a big blow for him and everyone.” Mention Vardy leaving in pre-match team talk? RvN: “Yes, to give him the best possible farewell. I addressed this, his impressive career at this club, explaining how long it’s taken, how many games he’s played, how many goals he’s scored. For us, there is responsibility for the last three games he’s going to play for the football club, do it in the best possible way. I think everybody tried but it wasn’t good enough.” Any talks held over your future? RvN: “No.” Any date set? RvN: “No.” Feel like your future will be judged on these performances? RvN: “It’s normal when you’re in the Premier League, you’re always judged. So, yes.” Said on the TV that first half was unacceptable? Then made three subs? RvN: “One was a concussion of Facundo, he was throwing up at half-time. Ricky had another injury, a muscle injury. So that’s two massive blows for the team. Bobby came off with a muscle injury before the break. We are conceding blow after blow in results, but also in losing personnel. The other substitution was Oliver Skipp for Bouba. "I expected more of the first half in the sense of intensity, winning the duels, don’t lose the ball too easy. It caused too many transition moments. In that sense I was disappointed. It’s unacceptable because those are things you can manage. It’s a mindset. That inconsistency is frustrating. It’s hard. "Then you have to address it in the second half. Those bits were better and it’s a foundation to perform. That’s what I meant.”
