https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/34806421/jamie-vardy-becky-america-us-mls/ THE Vardys are eyeing a move to America after Becky held talks with Stateside TV bosses — while Jamie is wanted by MLS footie sides. We can reveal Wag Becky, 43, is a target for the makers of hit US reality shows including Netflix real estate smash Selling Sunset. And Jamie, 38, who announced ten days ago he will be leaving Leicester City, has US teams including San Diego FC and Wayne Rooney’s ex club D.C. United interested in his signature. A move would see the couple branch out to become famous on both sides of the Atlantic like Posh and Becks, and even the Kardashian reality TV clan. It would also represent a “fresh start” after the Wagatha Christie saga that saw Becky take on Coleen Rooney in court. A source said: “The US is the most likely next move for the Vardys and is partly because Becky has had interest in TV work there. “She was in talks with the makers of Selling Sunset earlier this year. They wanted her to appear as the potential buyer of a luxury home there. “That stalled because of the California wildfires in January but could still happen. “If it does, the show is a great ‘shop window’ for stars in the US to go on to other things. “And other networks over there are aware of her because of her high profile through starring on I’m a Celeb and also the Wagatha case. “It would also represent a fresh start for them and their family and a chance of moving on from recent events in the UK. “But it does depend on what football offers Jamie receives as he’s still the main breadwinner. “Jamie probably has a couple of years left in the game, and a lot of older players like him end up in the US. “He likes the idea of America, and could even end up with Beckham’s Inter Miami side. “But both Wrexham and Birmingham are still possible over here — and have their own Hollywood links.”

https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/ruud-van-nistelrooy-books-meeting-10157371 Ruud van Nistelrooy books meeting with Leicester City duo for conversation on next season Ben Nelson and Will Alves are due back at Leicester City’s Seagrave training base on Tuesday to hold discussions with manager Ruud van Nistelrooy about next season. The duo concluded their Championship loan spells at the weekend as the regular campaign came to an end. Ruud van Nistelrooy sees both of them playing together for City in the Championship next season and will discuss that with them on Tuesday. Alves has already played under van Nistelrooy, making his Premier League debut in December before being loaned out, but while Nelson has been on loan at Oxford for the full season, the manager got to know him while he was undergoing injury rehab at Seagrave in the winter. “When Ben was here going through his recovery, I spoke a lot with him,” van Nistelrooy said. “I knew also his profile, his qualities, his games at Oxford before the injury. “He’s done really well. They will be in on Tuesday here, both of them, and I’ll be having a conversation with them. “The objective was to play and make minutes. They are again academy players, which in my opinion is how to move forward (as a club). Conversations will take place on Tuesday.” Asked if he saw them as key players for the club next season, van Nistelrooy replied: “I see that, yes.” Nelson was an unused substitute for Oxford’s final game having played a significant role in their survival, helping the club earn four wins and keep four clean sheets in a run of eight starts after returning from injury. His form even saw Oxford manager Gary Rowett suggest he could play in the Premier League from as early as next season. Reflecting on the campaign, the centre-back wrote on social media: “To everyone at Oxford United, thank you for everything you’ve given me during my time with you. For me this isn’t just about my self-improvement, I’ve genuinely loved the passion and support from the players, staff and most importantly the fans. “One of the proudest moments of my career was scoring for you last week (against Sunderland) and it’s been a privilege and an honour to play a part in keeping Oxford in the Championship. Wishing the club all the very best for the future.” In total, Nelson played 17 times. Alves, meanwhile, registered one goal and three assists in his 14 Championship appearances for Cardiff. Hamza Choudhury won't be returning to City just yet as he has a play-off campaign to come with Sheffield United. The Blades will face Bristol City in the semi-finals.

What are the contracts like? Should we expect a lot of squad turnover / renewals this summer?

Possibly but I don't hold any hope with this lot Our best hope is that we stick him on gardening leave, bring someone else in at the start of pre-season, and then sack Ruud once we hit 1st July and into the next PSR period -

I don't think we would have to wait for that to happen if that was the case as Southampton were able to get rid of Juric with a clause as soon as relegation was confirmed -

Going to end up wasting the summer and the first few months of the season if he stays because he will have us underperforming and get sacked anyway I have seen absolutely nothing from him that makes me think he is suddenly going to start getting it right with his horrendous team selections and tactics
