  1. Bouba with the lighting fast sprint out to cover the big space that Diallo and Fernandes play in there
  2. Not got it on at the moment, is it Ayew upfront and Facundo on the right then?
  3. 4. Anyone who doesn't have Cunha in their FPL team is a mug
  5. Ben Nelson missing from Oxford’s squad tonight due to injury
  6. Ankle injury wasn’t it?
  7. Steve Cooper Pre-Match Press Conference vs Man Utd How different will league game be? “It was a League Cup game and now it’s in the league. They’ve got a few players back and that makes a difference. Whenever you play Man Utd, home or away, you come up against a team with talented players and you have to be mindful of that. We’re looking forward to going there again. We’re disappointed we only got a draw at Ipswich and we want to get back on the winning trail. We’ve had a really good week of training.” Glad you're not facing Amorim? “You always deal with whatever’s in front of you. It’s been of interest around the world about what’s happening at United. The same as the first game, it’s about us focusing on ourselves. If we want to succeed in any game, it’s on us. It’s a tough game, but a challenge we’re looking forward to.” Coming into a team midway through a season? “Every situation will be different. You try to work off your instincts and align things to your beliefs. That’s the challenge of every coach, whether it’s somebody going into a third or fourth season, or you’re just taking over. Whenever you take a job, it will always look different to the one before and the one after.” Buonanotte? “Really impressed. The highlights of his game have been shown quite often. You can see the obvious abilities. He’s a really good lad. He’s down to earth and he’s bought into the dressing room and what we’re asking of him while giving him the freedom. He’s got a really good training ethic, he’s aggressive in his own way. We’re enjoying working with him, really enjoying getting the best out of him, and it’s good we’re seeing it in a way that’s good for the club. Every team has talented players, but when they’re doing it for the team, that’s really pleasing. We’re only 10 games in so we need to make sure he keeps progressing.” Buonanotte transfer possible? “That’s not for me. While he’s here, we treat him like he’s our own. We’ve got a good relationship with Brighton.” United only two points ahead of you? “There’s always an opportunity. We’re not going into the game with that in mind. We have to have belief in the gameplan. It’s not something we’re talking about. We’re talking about getting certain players in certain positions and having an impact on the game. We want to believe we can go there and succeed. It was a frustrating last result. We’re looking forward to thriving under the challenge.” Old Trafford no longer to be feared? “You can go anywhere and create anything. There are no guarantees. Whatever we want to get out of any season is not going to be through good fortune, it’s going to be delivering when it counts. We want to shine at Old Trafford and show who we are.” Late goals? “We’re good for a goal at the moment. It’s not the plan to leave it so late to get results. At Ipswich we had a chance to make it a game that was ours all the way through, and we didn’t do that. It’s good that we’re showing resilience. But we have to show that at the start and during different momentum in games. These are conversations that are going on.” 10 points from 10 games? “We have to have the mentality that we can do better than that. There’s only six promoted teams that have done better than that in recent seasons, so it’s been decent. But we can get better and hopefully we can get more points from the next 10. Me and the guys always want more. It’s a fair one. Points tell the true story. There’s times where we should have picked up more points and times where we didn’t do enough. The ambition is to be higher. I’m always going to say I want more. That’s the elite environment of the Premier League. We’ve got to think big and make it happen.” Striving for 90-min performance? “Yes, but I don’t think we’ll be sitting on our own. There will be spells where the opponents will be on top. At Ipswich, we started and finished well but there were parts in the middle where we could have been better. You’re always striving for a 90-minute performance, but it’s easier said than done.” Ayew? “We knew we needed to bring in, as well as young players for the future, the experience. I was asked about the composure Jordan and Vards showed and that was built on experience. We’re delighted with Jordan because he can deliver and he knows what it takes. He’s very much about the team and the greater good. It can’t be about individuals. The more time he’s here, the more that will grow. Some important moments so far and there will be more to come.” Injuries? “Bobby missed Ipswich and still hasn’t returned to the grass. He picked up a nasty wound in the cup game. It’s on his Achilles in an awkward position as it keeps opening up. We’re hoping that heals quickly.” Daka? “He’s an asset for the team and it’s great to have him back. He’s a good guy who has certain attributes. He’ll be a great option. It is tempting to throw him straight back in, but we don’t want to do that to the detriment of getting him fully fit. It was quite a serious injury so we have to be careful. We’re cooperating with the medical team. He’s looking sharp and that will grow.”
  8. He would probably be looked back on better for last season if Enzo had taken him out of the side during that run when he was absolutely diabolical and clearly needed dropping
  9. Todays Result - Wednesday 6th November Championship: Tom Cannon (7.5 + 1 goal - 88 mins) - Stoke City 2-0 Blackburn Rovers
  10. Todays Results - Tuesday 5th November Championship: Ben Nelson (6.6 + clean sheet - 62 mins) - Oxford United 1-0 Hull City Harry Souttar (6.9 - 90 mins) - Sheff Utd 2-1 Bristol City
  11. Ended up being a pretty “standard” game in this competition in the end The academy teams never really do much in this competition, it is pretty pointless really
  12. Monga scared the shit out of Burton’s senior defenders when we played them in our last game in this competition, hopefully he gets on tonight
  13. For some reason on FotMob, WhoScored, SofaScore etc. that dribble from him in the lead up to the goal hasn’t been counted as successful either so he hasn’t been given any “points” for that
  14. Issue is who replaces him as Ayew hasn't really looked that good when starting and looks much better of the bench After that your only options are Reid or McAteer really
  15. Watched Spotlight and Dark Waters over the weekend Both brilliant investigative films based on real life events starring Mark Ruffalo
  16. The cup game showed even with their first team we should still be able to get at their defence Hopefully we don't gift them any goals this time as we might then actually give ourselves a decent chance of getting a result
  17. Another poor performance, and I can't really see the performances improving when we are getting more serious injuries every week Thankfully looks like there are a few teams worse than us this season
  18. Norris really is shocking at race starts
