Haha here we go…

It’s funny because it’s both crap but also one of the more robust halves of football I’ve seen lately
-
I really rate Nelson, but hope he’s not a sick note
-
So reliant on Abdul who is trying to do everything on his own
-
That’s exactly what KP have tried to perpetuate over the years. The cult of the personality and so on, much like dictator regimes.

Norwich (A) - Pre-Match Depression Chat

It’s the hope that kills you with this lot. I was like you once, forgetting we’re a shambles on a match day reasoning it’s 11 men v 11 men. But if you have low expectations then anything else other than a pathetic performance makes for a much more healthy mindset 🤣 -
Being asked to choose between Thomas and Kristiansen is like being asked whether you want step in cat shit or dog shit. They’re both horrendous. God knows what happened to Thomas because he looked like a great prospect when he first came in to the side.

Teams are only as good as their Striker

Nice to see quite a few folk on social media getting behind KP out. About time. Their time is up. I can’t think of a single instance where fans get to this point and an ownership manages to turn it around.

Ric Flair Live & Direct on BSLB Podcast

I must admit to not listening for a while. Anything LCFC related just gets me down these days, but perhaps I need to hear some epic moaning to get my mojo back. And I bet there’s still a lot of that 🤣 in fact there’s been some of the best moaning the history of moaning on this pod. That’s my radox… -
This talk of Abdul being too good for us? Is he though? The odd worldly aside, I think he’s been poor this season. I don’t remember him being so ‘kick and run’, but perhaps Enzo set him up so he had more space to run at defenders. In the current system he seems to be closely man marked, and I think we need to find a way of stopping that or negating it. So maybe I’m disagreeing with my own point slightly, but I don’t think he’s been anywhere near effective as he was last time around with Enzo. And neither has Mavididi, so perhaps it is more the set up and players around him.

Hopefully this is the right thread to raise this in, but if you want an insight into how Rodger’s took more control of recruitment (through his son…) and wanted to sign “established” players over data driven insights, just look at this from his time from Liverpool where he preferred Tom Ince over Coutinho (who the analysts favoured) 🤣 Thanks Brendan, some of your recruits designed to strengthen European campaigns are now struggling in the bottom half of the Championship!

Alarming that after Big Sue left, Top seems to be using that as a means of becoming more involved - if he actually does become more involved as interim CEO. I wonder whether we’ll actually get a proper dedicated CEO or whether Top will do a Rudkin and have 3-4 roles. But all of this, and the direction of the club, is a joke. If he’s not careful he’ll hardly anything back for the tens of millions (perhaps hundreds) KP have invested because we’re heading back to the lower reaches of the championship where Vichai found us. I was reflecting after the game last night and the current level of performance seems similar to those years we bobbed around the lower half of the Championship before we eventually dropped to League One. Marti has a Craig Levein feel to him. The downward trajectory just from last season is alarming enough. We need action and we need it now!

I truly hope so and I can be available to be part of it.

Or at least avert this impending catastrophe. When you think about it there is a lot of parallels with the time he came back and sorted out the egos, wages and squad building of the Sven era.
-
Even if it’s in the boardroom. He knows what it takes to get this football club back from the doldrums.

We need to do something. There were the protest and banners last season in a superior league, and we’re now churning out the same form in a vastly inferior league the year after. We need a coordinated effort - the whole 9 yards… do what the Sheff Weds fans did, boycott games, planes, banners… This cannot continue. And I don’t just mean the manager, I mean the whole lot of them. But I think for a coordinated effort to work it needs to be organised by a pre-existing group like Union FS or Foxes Trust. Could that happen?

Boro 1-1 H Post Match Thread

Getting worse the longer it goes on. We took points early on in the season and looked unconvincing, but alarm bells should be ringing as it’s getting noticeably worse the longer he’s been here. -

I said similar about Soumare, but I’ve finally come to terms with the fact I was horribly wrong!
