There are but I’d say that winks is probably the best at the tempo and passing side of it. If we were going to have 65%+ possession then we’d do well to keep him. If we are going to be more aggressive with our forward play and therefore have less control than enzo’s team then we’d be better having someone more defensively capable.

It’s a relevant point re holding midfielders. winks is not your average cdm because he’s not good enough at defence. But in a team that should have v high possession stats and requires someone to take the ball from defenders/keeper and set the tempo, he should be perfect. (As per enzo’s team) atm we are asking bouba to do the defensive work and he’s really not switched on enough to be reliable. it’s a conundrum that marti has to solve. Skipp is a little more mobile and certainly quicker than winks but he’s definitely lost his mojo.

They’re floating ideas re council tax and stamp duty. the stamp duty idea is that rather than paying a lump sum on purchase, you’d pay a tax each year you’re in the house. Perhaps a single home occupation tax to replace both taxes ?? I doubt they’d be able to make the replacement tax much annually higher than already being paid but effectively spreading the stamp duty out over a 10/15 year period would likely bring in higher revenues over time than the current system because selling sooner wouldn’t make any difference (you’d buy a new place and then pay on that ) and if you stay longer than the 10/15 years then you’re paying more than you would have done with a lump sum. I guess they could have a system where you can choose to pay the stamp duty element up front.
