3 weeks before the budget be they’re leaking stuff usually it’s to see how negative the responses are so they can ditch those also, by leaking a fair few scenarios which aren’t good for a lot of people, what they actually announce seems reasonable. Adding 2p onto income tax and reducing NI by 2% is neutral to working people but hits pensioners earning over the tax threshold. Generally affecting those drawing a private or value added state pension. (Like retired policemen, doctors, teachers)
