  1. Thinking about the injury record of some of our big sales chillwell madders little Wes even Barnes has suffered somewhat since he left us
  2. I believe that we’re interested whether that translates into a viable bid remains to be seen
  3. Presumably all the other counties have similar (if not higher) influx of funds. Does that mean we see a few seasons with inflated wages and a lot of the money disappears ???
  4. That’s why he’d want to come here we’re a better bet than Swansea if he’s ambitious and wants to earn more money. If we start paying low wages then we won’t be as attractive a destination. whilst we can’t be chucking around 40k+ in the championship, we can’t be trying to get players here below 25k. It’s not going to work in the dressing room to have such massive wage divergence. hopefully within a couple years the big earners will have gone and we can settle around 25/30k average in the champ and 40/50k in the prem.
  5. You cant buy a player for £5m and pay them 15k/week especially when we have a dressing room full of guys on a ‘reduced’ 50/60 week making poor contributions maybe we could get away with 20/25k with a guaranteed rise to 30k on promotion.
  6. if you’re his agent then he’s not coming here for £15k on a transfer fee up to £5m inc add ons. You’d demand double that. and this is where the problems could start because a kid of his age suddenly getting that much dosh - you’ve no idea where that goes mentally.
  7. Less 25/30% relegation reduction
  8. Can only bank it once ! and if we stayed down then his valuation would be even lower in line with our desperation!
  9. Bet there were a few MCC members just got a bit excited by that fox at Lords and summoned the horses and hounds
  10. If I’m wilf and ive got to choose between Valencia and Istanbul then I’m probably going with Valencia. Besiktas l8kely to pay him a bit more but perhaps Valencia are hoping to drag money off the transfer fee to give him a chunky s/o fee to compensate
  11. He won’t regularly be on Leeds’ bench but playing a decent number of Pl games and some sub appearances is better than championship every week yep was quite a time ago and Morocco much weaker back then he’s going to be picked by them wherever he’s playing but he may not be a starter if he’s not being exposed at PL level
  12. So not even the aqueduct ????
  13. He’s got more chance of getting in the Moroccan squad on spurs’ bench than playing in the championship !
  14. There will be a sell on clause whatever we pay. (Within reason).
  15. The roads ?
  16. If he’s only got a year left then we’ll surely not pay £5m. Maybe £3m with achievable add ons of £2m and a decent sell on clause
  17. Absolutely - lenny was a pre cursor of the modern defensive midfielder. Controlling the tempo of the game for us. Gives and go’s - receiving the short throw ins and recycling possession. wilf technically not on the same page incidentally, wilf is another example of an Lcfc player who hasn’t managed to maintain his form once he’d been linked with a big move away and not gone.
  18. Elected Leicestershire police chief defects from Tories to reform
  19. He wouldn’t dare !
  20. How can Ricky have anything left of his amortisation. His initial five years expired two years ago.
  21. As had been pointed out, he’s not played a game since his op if I’m a buying club then I’m taking a discount on that basis alone. Yesterday proved that he’s fit and ready to play. we could also be playing games with a lowball buyer by trying to show we don’t need to sell him. (We do)
  22. Had to record the mornings play so just finished how England contrived to lose that test match is nuts it’s the way we play but jeez it’s frustrating
  23. Dunno There isn’t much reliable reporting from the Uighur region ….. It’s a shame that no one seems interested (away from a few very specific groups and some politicians) in the plight of the Uighurs. never saw any campus protests or marches in the streets. I suppose we have no leverage re China so what’s the point ….
