  1. Another injury, Scriven out. Severely depleted attack, kookaburra ball and we've stuck them in to bat... what could possibly go wrong? Gambling on working through their top order this morning, because the forecast for the 5 sessions after that is absolutely belting.
  2. And they were, traditionally. Much bigger. People tend to view club size through the prism of how good they were throughout their youth- it takes a lot of sustained success to really change the size of a club in the eyes of multiple generations. We were well on our way to doing so but completely ballsed it up. If we were to spend 5+ years outside the top flight now, then we'd get a clearer picture on how much this public perception is due to genuine growth, or recency bias.
  3. Going by the adidas template (Oviedo, Aberdeen), that's very similar to how it would look. Bring in Walkers for BC Game and it would be top 3 home kits of all time.
  4. The club's going to be a shitshow regardless of whether we've got a collar or v-neck
  5. Back for the 2nds next week apparently.
  6. These games with the kookaburra should be ideal to bring Kimber in to be fair.
  7. Aye, but they look ****ing class.
  8. So we're wait until 4 days before the end of the accounting period? Reading between the lines... Rohl must be first choice and we could stretch to sacking Ruud or paying Wednesday compensation, not both?
  9. May as well close the thread. What an opportunity, pissed into the wind.
  10. Agreed. I was seething at some of the dross Murphy was bowling when Derbyshire looked like they were going to win
  11. Not a bad day for us after all- ground made on everyone in the division other than Northants.
  12. Not impressed with the Gloucestershire spinners though. Too many poor balls.
  13. Hell of a finish on at Bristol now, Derbyshire 6 down (and could hopefully start batting for a draw)
  14. Didn't see that one, but I really couldn't fathom why Cooke wasn't given out caught. Didn't look like it went anywhere near the ground.
  15. How on earth has he given that not out?!
  16. If Tribe still isn't available and they're effectively 5 down- half a sniff.
  17. 4.55 an over required. Gifted to them on a plate, and we get Glamorgan fighting tooth and nail for a draw. Typical
  18. Course they have I reckon they can chase it down comfortably. Pretty much knocks Gloucs out of the promotion running but I want the title.
  19. Apparently not hopefully take an early wicket or two, keep them in check.
  20. Just get one and it might bring a few. Any word on whether Tribe is available to bat? We've got the added disadvantage of the draw being all Glamorgan have to play for- Gloucs might take a few more risks in setting Derbyshire a total.
  21. Yeah Derbyshire were well on top- really would create a huge gap if we could get the win today. I'm not sure we could have asked for better conditions for the seamers this morning...
  22. A draw would be frustrating given where we were yesterday afternoon, but far from a disaster- just looking at the other scores and we're the side in the best position to try and force a result today across both divisions. Hopefully the pitch does a bit more in the morning as it did yesterday, but we will likely be extending our lead with maximum bonus points either way.
  23. Conditions look favourable in the morning. Another tonight would be a bonus.
  24. Probably not going to have as many on the board as we would have liked but the chances of a Glamorgan win are still very slim, due to timescales- it's stil going to come down to whether we can bowl them out in under 4 sessions.
  25. Fairly certain someone confirmed that he had a slight side injury, which is why he wasn't bowling.
