  1. There's only one man that can solve this mystery - step up @Wymsey
  2. Said the man who never sees conspiracy anywhere
  3. Yes, that's what I am trying to persuade her to do. Unfortunately, she forgets/doesn't listen and is VERY prone to the convenience of the closest shiny thing to hand, and doesn't really understand why she gets in a pickle the whole time. Modern technology and a woman born before WW2 with failing mental acuity aren't a great combination, and she's not yet bad enough for us to take all her toys away and put her in a home. It's not an easy balance to strike.
  4. Yes they can. But if, for example, I cull emails on her desktop, they remain on the other devices.
  5. Hello all, I'm hoping someone can help me with this. My aged mother has a laptop on Windows, and an iPhone and iPad. She has Gmail on all 3 but I cannot get them to sync. Am I being rubbish, or is this something that is just not possible?
  6. He's only just reached 100...
  7. And Huth is on a hat trick
  8. Now I cannot tell who is whoooshing whom.
  9. Never mind.
  10. Were you in a coma last season?
  11. I think it's fanciful to think that there won't be huge disturbances surrounding the election.
  12. Just a few million then.
  13. I'm not so sure about this. In the case of JFK, there is probably way more decent evidence mitigating against the random lone nutter theory than in many other cases. As for your last para, those two things are not necessarily mutually exclusive.
  14. On the subject of 'everything is a conspiracy', I tend to find that that sort of thinking comes from those who themselves have that tendency - a projection of sorts, just as people who get staunchly behind awful politicians or whatever are basically justifying their own minor awfulnesses. I must state for the record, this is my opinion and cannot back it up with peer reviewed fact or studies.
  15. You realise we all read FT, right?
  16. Now the leader board is published, we now have proof that perception is often inaccurate. I'm not even close
  17. That's true
  18. What does that even mean?
  19. I can't work out whether he writes for tabloids or just reads them all.
  20. It was a response to a couple of posts showing startling (to me anyway) ignorance. I can only assume some people have gone through life without any anxiety or mental health issues. For them, I am honestly pleased if that is the case, but as an almost 54 year old with a lifetime of constant battles that some people just assume are imagined or exaggerated for effect, I am just reminded of the schoolyard, and how little some people appear to have learnt upon getting older. Much like in a lot of political discourse these days, it seems to me that some argue like school bullies and dominate conversations like loud pub bores.
  21. Please, please, please - get in the bin with this nonsense.
  22. I cannot speak. There are no words sometimes.
  23. Fat F**king Chance
  24. I would politely request that, in the same spirit of limiting topics due to mental health reasons in this section, that the same consideration be given to the main forum. We are all wanting the team to do well, but thread after thread of woe and finding new angles of self-pity and anger surely does none of us any good - I for one find it very difficult. I know some might think 'then don't read it', but I would argue that the main reason for this forum's existence needs to be for everyone, not just those seemingly trying to outdo one another in their negative assessments.
