When I was a mortgage broker, although I admittedly worked for a company that charged a decent fee, I would occasionally turn up with a deal that absolutely sorted customers out - organised their personal loans on which they were paying silly interest etc - and potentially made their lives miles better, and they would flat turn it down without thinking.
