Honestly, I wasn't belittling your effort far from it. I love it when the smaller clubs buck the trend and the establishment. You've done amazing to get this far but the pressure builds in the second half when every game becomes a virtual must win. Injuries and signings will play a part from January, Only time will tell but I love your enthusiasm as we've been there in 15/16 If your Club is smart they should tie McKenna on a longterm secure Contract to keep the Vultures away. The right Manager is priceless. Enjoy the Game on Boxing Day and the rest of the season. I hope we both get promoted.

I think it's inevitable that they will drop quite a few points as the pressures and physicality of the league takes it's toll on their small squad. There is the caveat that they go for broke and throw a heap of money at signings in the upcoming Window.

You really have to admire how Ipswich are performing given their resourses. They keep finding a way to win games especially after going behind.
-
Yes, I wouldn't say can't play a pass but get brushed off the Ball too easily.
-
If we lose NDiddi in January, We definitle need someone of a more physical presence in the Team. I'd like a Strong, Pacy, Physical player who can also play and pass the Ball.

This is pretty much what Enzo said after Saturdays game, That they were unlikely to be available for the Milwall game. Another big chance for Daka to change Enzo's thinking if he can add a couple of Goals Wednesday night. Which I hope he does as we need all our strikers performing well.
-
Yes I could definitely see either of those come in for him along with Maybe Newcastle and Arsenal. All of which have Goal Keeper problems.
-
He's been exceptional for one so young and our best signing for a while. It's his concentration levels are so high, coupled with his reading of situations that gives him the edge. The way he flung himself into smothering the Ball and player to stop them from scoring was brave and effective. I just hope we can hold onto him for a longtime because I can see him being chased by the big clubs before the season is over.

Hasn't Klopp said already he wont be leaving so we need to move on. Unless we're going to pay silly money for a loan which I don't think we're that desperate.

Viktor Kristiansen joins Bologna on loan

I'm not surprised. I seen him play in one game and he turned his back on the Ball and it ended in the Net. A game Bologne lost. -
It seems strange that we're reported to be looking at 20 mil on a 19 year old Brazilean CB. When we have a good English 19 year old in our Development team in Ben Nelson. Maybe Enzo doesn't rate him or he's not considered ready yet.

I totally agree. The one mistake he made when Manager was not getting rid of Rudkin. I suspect he was to concerned in trying to improve the Club and first team at the time. I never thought he was any better than average as a Coach but as a Manger he has few equals. But that was alright because a lot of the top Managers wern't good Coaches. Fergie, Shankly, Etc they all had good Coaches around them. In the Structural or Advisory side and advising young players he be an asset. Even as a special advisor to Top. As you say it's unlikely to happen though for the reason you've stated.
-
He could certainly do that job, But I think it would be a huge missed opportunity by the Club. The Man has few equals when it comes to setting up a Club properly. We should be able to find a suitable job worthy of his talents. Be it managing the Club behind the scenes or within recruitment and Youth Development. We all know about what Harry Kane and others have said about his Man Management and credit him for their own success. All of our success was mostly down to what he built and left behind.
-
Yes, He may never make it back to frontline Management. Any Club would be wise to use him as a DOF or other position. I just hope our Board are smart enough to maybe use him in some capacity as he'll be a big loss to football when he retires.

Yes I agree, I just don't see Enzo playing him anytime soon while we have 3 first team strikers. Which is very likely to change in January. -

I think he's seen as one more for the future as in next season which is strange given that were likely to be in the Premiership then. I expect he will get a run out in the new year especially of Daka or Kelechi goes. -
I think his health issues might take precedence before he returns to Football Management again. Though he would be the right man to sort the Club out.
-
Didn't we try to sign him before he went to Sunderland. ?

The one thing that should be mandatory on all clubs is that the Football Financial year should run with the Calender year. That is it finishes on 31st December each year. That way, it gives the powers that be time to inspect the books and hand out any penalties for any infractions. The powers that be have created a massive headache by allowing so much time to pass with the Cases against Man City and Chelsea.

I'd seen him play for Spurs and thought he was a very good and tidy player. Like a lot of players breaking through from the youth ranks it's hard to make that impact like he's done here. I think he can influence games even more further up the pitch and I'd like to see him step out more. I also think he's going to be here for a long time. So good luck to him.

It was clear today that the players had worked hard in training in how to go about todays game. I thought Enzo got both the Team selection and tactics spot on today. We were more disciplined today with players holding their positions better while we continued to wear the opposition down, Which is a big part of Enzo's methods. It's not always the prettiest to watch especially first half while we tire the opposition out. Eventually the gaps begin to open up. What's wrong the players we have are still learning the system. And some are still learning how to play football given their age and experience. We're still a couple of players short to execute it to it's best which the January window should help. The Goals we conceeded today and Wednesday had more to do with the players than the Manager or the Tactics. Which demonstrates the players naivety under pressure when calm heads are needed. Something I expect us to improve on as the season progresses.
-
He done it once today ( aside from the Goal ) and got it wrong. Thankfully Vesty was there to cover for him and win the Ball back. I'm sure Enzo will improve that side of his game as we get further into the season. It's about reading the opposition and exploiting there weaknesses as he continues to learn craft.
