It’s like watching Okoli before he passes the ball.
-
It’s mental that they constantly think it’s a good idea to invite a press while they pass around, eventually ending up with a rushed misplaced pass into the middle. This usually ends up with quick counter.
-
Ricardo is boring now. He could’ve turned himself but passed back to Winks and they piss around and lose it.
-
Spoke too soon

Fawanews is back up
-
A year for every time he has crossed the halfway line and crossed the ball this season.
-
Reid attempts to keep the attack going by passing the ball to the players ahead. Ayew is a bottle neck and JJ is better driving from deep. With his back to goal waiting for a slow JV pass into a congested area hasn’t been working so far. JV needs to stop slowing every attack down and get it to Winks and JJ first time. Ricardo and Thomas need to stop standing still and create some movement to drive up the pitch.
-
JJ out of position for a defensive mid who seems to miss the ball when he goes to tackle. It’s such a waste passing to him in a slow JV build up as he’ll always send it back. Hopefully Ricardo stops playing like Thomas, passing sideways constantly and remembers he can cross the half way line and run beyond the winger. Mav has two weeks of step overs built up that he has to release.

And bounce off of a man half his size when trying to knock them off the ball. -

L This is what I would play. Make sure JV passes first time and doesn’t involve Thomas in any build up unless he actually crosses the halfway line with the ball. If it’s slow out the back with the wingers getting the ball on the halfway line then we are in for a tough watch. Hopefully the full backs will actually move up the pitch instead of staying level with the cubs, waiting to pass sideways. I expect another Marti fall behind and slog to get a draw materclass. -

Unless our forwards actually try and attack as a team I can’t see us getting anything. They have conceded only 10 goals and our forwards cause us more problems than the opposition. -
I think AI model the designer used has taken images from Peaky Blinders.
-
Then dives to the floor when a 38 year old EFL clogger from Grimsby gets close to him. He is a talent that is being wasted in our team and set up. He started playing like a cross between Ayew and Mavadidi, bad habit to have. Now Marti prefers Ayew, the original diving, stink out expert. Rather see him running into a shooting position like when he scored his goal. He would be great in the years to come if he could add Albrightons work rate and Barnes direct running on top of his amazing technical skills.
-
Better yet, get him to show our players how to cross the half way line, whip the ball into the box and take a shot on target.
-
Break the lines by playing a slow pass into a congested area to Ayew. He could’ve just lumped it. He could’ve hit it first time not stuttering until the angle was closed down from the press. It didn’t help the it was a boring pass from Ricardo under zero pressure to Okoli who has to power his brain on before passing. Bad habits from the defence and midfield.
-
This hasn’t worked since Enzo, yet they try and repeat with little to no success for 2 season. What’s also disgusting is Skipp. He jogs back while Winks sprints, then when the player goes to strike he jogs away from him. He could’ve clattered or stretched to try and put him off. Absolute brain dead player with the talent to match. It has come to a point where Skipp can’t be called a professional footballer. I don’t mean this as a bon mot. The same for Daka being called a striker/forward.

We are too easy to play against. Teams can double up on Fatawu as he gets the ball too deep. They can also just wait for the chuckle brothers to pass around until the obvious pass into the congested middle for the forward to not control. Then you have Skipp to deal with. I’ve never seen a player attempt to tackle so many times and ends up nutmegging himself with the lack of control. It seems like every teams full backs love to bomb forward and play 1-2 with the winger and crosses quickly while the rest of the team gets in the box, everyone apart from Marti. We look good when Winks gets the ball quickly for JJ to drive with it. Fatawu and Ricardo to actually run and pass with each other too. Page will always be a better option to get the ball forwards and Reid to actually play someone in than Ayew. It will be the same dull tactics and application then eventually the level drops because it’s not working. The chuckle brothers mess around for longer and Ayew and Fatawu become more greedy and ineffectual. -

That is embarrassing viewing. Shows how poor the manager is at getting players into positions, and our players wanting to get into the box. At Norwich, we allowed them all the time in the world to cross and flood our area. We stand still and watch the step overs until it’s sent backwards. It’s not like we are making the opposition keepers work for their money. We have one winger that only scores long shots after getting the ball on the halfway line and no support. Another that wants to do 5 step overs, beat a man, cut back to beat him again until he loses it’s. 2 forwards who can’t control the ball or hit it on target. And my favourite, an attacker famed for his hold up play yet refuses to pass to anyone, preferring to fall over and kill an attack. -
And blind to the simple passes to get the team attacking quickly instead of slowing the game down. Expecting clowns like Ayew and Daka being able to control the ball with Skipp in the middle is never going to work.
-
Was he starting their attacks out the back and delivering the ball the same way he does for us? If not then there’s no excuse for Marti to keep letting him stink us out. That’s me assuming Marti has an idea that is being ignored.
-
I think the massive difference would be that Ayew wouldn’t feature in an Enzo line up. Cooper played those two together in that weird formation forcing everyone to the left. I noticed early on that Facundo couldn’t play with Ayew as he would never return the pass to progress, and just Ayew’d the play. I feel that’s why he started being so greedy and wouldn’t involve Ayew who was always floating around in the area he wanted to occupy. Then it became a bad habit, maybe because of naivety/arrogance of youth and poor coaching. Sadly they aren’t here, both are better options than Ayew and Marti.
-
Here is a view point from someone who was never Marti in. Our players are good enough to carry the ball across the half way line, run into space and cross the ball first time, basics. As shown with the winner in the last game. But this isn’t happening and always seems like it’s against how the manager has set us up, otherwise we would see it constantly, not during the panic and chaos of chasing to a dog shit team. We get undone all the time by the opposition making a simple 1-2 cross, repeat until they score. Yet we barely try it. Would giving Marti funds make him change his style of football? The improvements can be made by him. Stop JV slowing everything down and passing into a crowded area. Look for space, support, over lap, chill out on the step overs and cross or shoot. A striker is needed but that is no question. Regarding Daka. There comes a point when you really have to stop calling yourself something, if you haven’t done it for a few years and unable to do when asked to.
-
He’s a crap manager with little to no attacking instinct, tactics or in game management to break down a team. During his 2 seasons at QPR, goals per game worked out just over 1. He’s already showing that here at 1.2. He is just continuing a trend, not breaking through and standing out with better resources, albeit with chaos above and noise from the fans. He lost me when he said everyone gets a clean sheet and played Soumare for two games in a row. He just rotates the shit players who continue the mistakes and doesn’t change the tactics. How can a manager watch Ayew every week break down an attack and actively avoid bringing his team mates into the game, yet still think it’s a good idea to play him. Are the players too scared, thick or don’t care enough to speak up and say, this isn’t working?
-
He let Ayew stink out every aspect of the game for far too long, at least now he’s only stopping attacks and not on corners or free kicks. There’s no point us ever having a throw in, we take too long and just give it away. It’s the same when the JV holds onto the ball for too long, everyone stands around bored waiting, but also not offering new options up. All because the clown didn’t pass first time. Marti appears to be very limited in his ideas on how to attack and change in game tactics to our advantage. Hopefully seeing the winner, a quick pass into space high up the for a winger to cross quickly might give spark an idea. Maybe he will have some intrigue and investigate what this simple passage of play was called. We really need a Jordan Henderson type figure or a shit house xhaka in the Skipp roll. He plays like my dog, just happy to be chasing around for a while then stands and watches me get the ball.

The January Transfer Window …..Dos the major surgery start?

I don’t understand how the same person/team can sign off on Bilal, Ayew and Skipp,
