Glad we have Ayew in the middle to really bring the wingers and forwards into play. Ayew attack stink out bingo - Falls over diving - winning foul. falls over diving - play on and they attack. Stops running and passes backwards. Runs to the left wing, ignoring players around. holds onto the ball, twisting and turning ignoring plays around, tackled/falls over. long shot.

It’s insane. Two games ago we were chasing a goal and he kept ignoring Faes who was right next to him unmarked. Instead he kept holding on to the ball. As soon as you see him twisting and turning the attack is over. He’s going over and we get countered. -

This is where the manager should be drilling into them actual tactics and passages of play. Mavadidi isn’t good enough to get and skin several players and then use his brain to bring others into the game. He does two things, pass backwards or lose the ball trying to do too many step overs and ignoring a quick cross. These are things that would be addressed by a manager with a clue. -

That doesn’t stop him passing the ball, even more reason to bring others into the game. Why be a focal point between midfield and attack if you don’t pass the ball. He’s a greedy, useless lump who is stinking out the team everyone we play. A constant reminder of Cooper. Was he out of puff at the start of the game when we had a fast counter, he stopped still with no pressure, ignored all the runners, turned around and passed backwards. The whole stadium groaned. He needs booing every time he passes backwards or stops. -

There is zero discipline and awareness in this team and zero tactics that are locked in. The ease at which IG players are happy to put someone else under pressure. From JV slowing everything down to then role the ball and pass sideways, to Soumare blasting the ball backwards without even looking. Mistakes are repeated and players rewarded with game time. Ayew should've been made to explain to the team why he stopped running under no pressure last week and ignored the forwards to pass back. The idiot didn’t even think to know it into space for wingers to run onto. Thick players being “managed” by a Sunday dad. Let’s them do what they want so they like him. -

Add to his step overs, cutting back into a defender he has already turned, choosing not to attempt a cross and ignoring VK who made overlaps and then passing backwards. He was good under Enzo when KDH slotted the ball to him when they were attacking and he would shoot on instinct. Our team are too thick to over think situations. -

I’m sure Marti will want more of the famous Ayew hold up play. He must be doing something right in his eyes if he plays him after watching him purposely stop any form of attack. Senior pro and star player. Just the man we need for Marti’s slow build up and pass back until the wingers are back on the half way line marked. Get the season over with, hopefully able to cling onto a place in this league. I can’t wait to see the back of another useless manager with zero ideas along with the donkeys. Ayew, Faes, Soumare, VK and Daka. But Marti is a “nice guy”, just like Cooper was “pragmatic”. Enzo managed to turn KDH into a driving force and Ndidi into an assist machine, winks and Ricardo into neat passing footballers and Mav and Fatawu into players who would run with the ball into space. Using their skills and drilling tasks into them. We just get different formations and players moved around to pass backwards and not run into space. How hard can it be to get Ayew to pass the ball to player on his own team or Soumare to track a runner in midfield and not jog away from them, or even look before he passes would be a start. -

I want to see those three play together but all three are now boring and greedy due to the tactics from Marti, he has made them selfish and not team players. It would be a 3 man step over challenge. -
they look good in training against poor opposition.

He is the biggest issue. Sending the players out without a plan other than pass around and don’t offer any support to the wingers. I feel they are following his tactics rather than ignoring him. His tactics are poor and his ability to visualise a solution from what he is seeing is nonexistent. Apart from Ayew, several of our players are actually capable of attacking as a team, ability to finish is a different topic. Monga, Mavadidi, Fatawu, JJ & Ricardo have more than enough skills to work out passages of play. Page showed more verve than Ayew who stopped still during a counter attack under zero pressure, just to pass backwards. Our forwards are crap, put Daka in to pretend to be a threat looking for scraps. Every aspect needs to be quicker, work on instinct not over thinking and looking for the easy backwards option. Thomas proved that when forced he can run over the halfway line with the ball and cross. It was also very easy for him to switch back to the boring back pass for the sake of control, but putting the press on the cbs and keeper. All it takes is one Ayew or Thomas stink out pass and the attack is over. Ricardo needs to step up, be a vocal leader and stop being boring on the pitch, he’s playing like old JJ. Get back to being the threat he was when he got back into the team and scored. the under 21s seem to be able to score goals weekly, they might not win but maybe there is an option there. At this point Marti’s known knowns are letting him down every game.

It won’t make a difference if the replacement plays the same way. They need to change the tactics first before we see a difference to this team, then their attitudes and application.

ITK, announcing in the Jan window for the women’s team.

And he keeps trying to play the Enzo ball to Ayew or the other clowns up top. Nelson looked solid doing the basics and pass the ball as well. He seems smarter than our other defenders, under pressure in the second half he looked to pass backwards but then knocked it out of play so he wouldn’t put himself or others under more pressure. Simple. Get rid of JV and have Ben passing to Winks quickly who can get JJ driving up the pitch. Fatawu and the other winger look to get into space with Ricardo arriving late into the box. We have forwards who can’t control a ball but constantly expect them to hold up the ball and bring others into the game, the one player that allegedly can do that activity avoids getting anyone into good positions.
-
These players are all crap. It’s the managers job to stop them doing the things they are crap at and get them to do things positive to the team. How many times have we seen Ayew stop during a counter attack by slowing down, refusing to pass and then passing backwards? Ayew doing that last night was on the manager who enables him. He should have hooked the clown straight away as an example.
-
We get skinned constantly by the oppositions winger and full back doing 1-2s and then crossing into the box. Maybe he could try that in practise. Does he know Andy King used to play, I wonder if he’s chipped in. I can’t stand to see another game with Ayew stopping during a counter attack to pass backwards or Fatawu try and skin everyone instead of passing the ball into space. Even Daka tried to play a 1-2 with Ayew yesterday but the donkey just stood still not even attempting to run into the space, there would’ve been no one in the box but still.
-
He lost me when he said everyone has a clean sheet, and wasted countless games with Skipp, Soumare and Ayew only for them to be rotated back into his constant poor choices. All he had to do was watch our best and worst game from last season to see what he has available. He has zero passages of play to break teams down, zero in game changes to break a team down. We have Ricardo, JJ and Fatawu yet they try one overlap a game then go back to the Fatawu step over challenge. That should be the focus, all three working together with a few different variations of play. He has turned Monga into a hybrid of Mavadidi and Ayew and ignored Nelson who showed last night that he is solid at the basics and doesn’t mess around for the sake of it.
-
It was the same as any other game. A lot passing about but no driving forward with the ball until Fatawu tries to skin as many players but ends up hitting their shins. It doesn’t matter what formation he puts them in, he doesn’t change his playing style and anti attack tactics. The Ayew stink out in the first half where he decided to stop under no pressure on a counter attack and pass back sums up Marti’s football. Get rid of the chancer as he won’t change, because he doesn’t know what to do.
-
He should’ve been hooked in the first half for that embarrassing stink out of the counter attack.
-
Ref was shocking. Ayew stunk out the game by doing what he always does. strikers who can’t control the ball or shoot on target. What does Marti work on? Change of formation but still the same expecting Fatawu to skin everyone. Another game with the same poor tactics. It doesn’t look like he has worked on one passage of play.
-
Playing for the famous Marti draw but got a lucky pen.
-
Much better when he isn’t part of the chuckle brothers to me to you slow passing.
-
Daka makes a smart and simple 1-2 into space but Ayew just stands still like a dick head. I can’t stand watching him stink this out. Thanks Cooper.
-
Does Skipp know he’s allowed to use his feet not just his shoulder.
-
Fatawu is next to useless now. Needs to change up his style of play and get some help from his team mates.
