We poach a manager from a bottom half QPR and surprised when we get the same dross here.
-
Mavadidi is useless, he either holds up the ball and is too scared to attempt to try anything or smashes it backwards and kills the momentum.
-
Such a weak defender
-
Mavadidi playing like Thomas. He needs to sub Mavadidi and Skipp
-
And the one on the tv?
-
Looked like he was waiting for someone to run in all the space in front. Hamza stood still both times. He needs to start pointing and telling Hanza what he wants because he clearly can’t pick up on it.
-
He looks better as he’s not being expected to run the length of the pitch constantly. He can float around and try and link things.
-
So much more positive without Ayew. It’s almost like we don’t need someone holding up the ball and drawing fouls at every opponent. Much better without Soumare as well.
-
Stopping dead to do the Mavadidi step over challenge and beat everyone instead of crossing quickly. Having Thomas behind Monga doesn’t help him at all.
-
Just needs another manager and pre season and he will be as good as he promised 4 years ago
-
Thomas will get RSI in his hip from turning inwards at every opportunity.
-
I can’t stand Thomas. It’s so easy for him to stink out every attack by passing backwards.
-
Do training sessions count?
-
It’s loss of face rather than respect. They won’t admit they are wrong in front of others and take offence if you point it out. It’s just lack of accountability.

I just care about the football we are seeing on the pitch. I want Fatawu and Monga to be flying at the defenders from the start because of their ability and confidence, but also for everyone else around to be better and click as a team. Remember when Barnes would do that and the opposition would be on early yellows. We also miss a midfielder that would ping the ball into space for the wingers to run onto. Faes can do it to players standing in space and Soumare always sends it behind them and kills the attack.
-
Not sure if you meant to word that as a statement because it has a question mark at the end. I’m not saying that. I’m only talking about on the pitch. I’m sure he has a strong family unit and friends around him to guide and grow. Anyway, I’m over it. Monga is a generational talent, our manager is crap and the senior players, (apart from Ricardo) technically are crap. The football speaks for itself. I’ll change my mind when we batter a team.
-
I respect other people views and opinions so I won’t say they are wrong. I feel we are seeing the same as the last two managers and the excuses and copes are the same. Watch our wingers get the ball, no one runs beyond them, they always stand next to them or if they do help, just come close to get the ball and it kills the attack. Ricardo and Silko Thomas looked good together, a lot of energy and very progressive. Also, again I’m not criticising Monga, I’m hoping we can build around someone with such talent and also see us improve it as a team. There is only so far we can go with Monga and Farawu’s natural ability.
-
He’s got a lot of energy and was always willing to get the ball. Being involved in the goal with Fatawu must have felt great for him.

Our senior pros are not that good. I’m saying he needs better people around him to grow. I don’t think the manager is that good at the moment. I gave him a clean slate but watching the games so far nothing is really improving attack wise. Again, the point I’m making is he is getting game time which is great, but the tactics seem to be the wingers get the ball and try and skin with no support.
-
I would love to see him get in the box, it would mean the players around him are progressing the ball. Unfortunately our forwards are scared to visit it.
-
Read and process the words. I’m not criticising him. I’m criticising the people around him.
-
I’m not criticising mistakes but the diving is a bad habit at an early age he needs to stamp out. I don’t see what him and Abdul do as mistakes or “bad stats”, they are unfortunately expected to do it all by themselves. I was making the point that he needs players and coaches so he can flourish and make him better. Actual tactics and patterns of play. Not just a guy who can skin players but a brilliant team player. He’s at the developmental stage where his peers and role models are important.
-
He really needs better players and coaches around him to encourage his natural ability and learn more styles of play. Diving from Ayew and step over challenge from Mavadidi isn’t it. At the moment it’s just stand back and watch him skin everyone, which is great to watch but it’s a team sport. He needs more than a bag of tricks, he needs support, positioning and tactics, something Fatawu isn’t getting either. If he had someone like Lief Davies behind him he would flourish, get in much better positions and not have as many defenders on him. I really want to see him shooting more. The same with Mavadidi.
-
In dropping Ayew it stops him stinking up other areas of the pitch, holding on to ball for too long while ignoring others and looking to buy cheap fouls during counter attacks on the half way line. My main concern is that the manager can’t see that he’s causing more issues than good, aside from not scoring.

I like Page as he has energy and the arrogance of youth wants to play football as opposed to Ayew who is useless and actively harming the team. A constant reminder of the poor decision by a terrible manager, who left very rich.
