Thanks to those who have signed up thus far. We appreciate there's a bit of work involved with registering but this is important to help us get a handle on how many people will be joining (and whether the platform we're using for the webinar will handle it) and also to have details for those who would like to receive the full report in follow on. So please take a couple of minutes and persevere. We've seen good interest already from local and national journalists who plan to attend the webinar on Tuesday evening but our main audience is Leicester City fans so please share with any other LCFC fans you know. This webinar is OPEN TO ALL!

The Foxes Trust is pleased to announce plans for sharing the results of our End of Season Survey and what you need to do if you are interested in hearing them. Read on our website here or in-full below: Over 3,200 Leicester City Supporters have completed our End of Season Survey. The results are now available and we will be sharing them initially through an online event. The online event will take place on Tuesday 8th July starting at 8pm and will run for 1 hour. It is open to all Leicester City Supporters whether or not you are a Trust member. You can book your place now: If you ARE a Foxes Trust member, follow this link If you ARE NOT a Foxes Trust member, follow this link (Two separate booking routes are required to capture the information needed to send details to you about the event). Once your booking has been made you will receive an automatic email from LoveAdmin confirming your attendance at the event (it’s described as a ‘purchase’ but the event is FREE). Then on the day of the event an email will be sent to all registered attendees with the link to the online session. The event will be hosted by members of the Foxes Trust Board and they will run through all the results. The results have given us a clear insight about how you are feeling about our football club and how it’s being run. We can see where you think the club is doing well, and where they are falling short. For example, you’re telling us that there are serious concerns about: The Overall Running of the Club – Over 90% of supporters do not have confidence in the current senior management’s ability to run the club on a day-to-day basis. Connection and Engagement with the Club – the Club are failing to communicate and engage with fans in many areas and because of that 78% of you are telling us that you no longer feel a strong connection to the football club. Ticketing and Price Challenges – Whilst the majority of you think the price of season tickets is fair, 68% of you feel that the pricing of matchday tickets is unfair. As well as sharing the results we’ll also provide an insight about how we intend to take matters forward with the Club. We can see from your views in the survey that Trust needs to do more to show that we are able to represent your views and influence change at the football club. We will do our utmost to do that, and to show that we are the main representative body acting for all Leicester City Supporters. Thank you for making this the best survey response we have ever had. The more supporters that participate in events like this the harder it becomes for the Club to ignore the strength of feeling of supporters.

We have released a short article on the Club's announcement today regarding match day ticket pricing for the upcoming season and the work done by the Trust in the lead up to what we feel is a step in the right direction on this. You can read the full article on our website here and in-full below: Match Day Ticket Prices – A Step in the Right Direction! Leicester City have today announced the cost of match day tickets for the 2025/26 season in The Championship. The Foxes Trust is encouraged to see that they have listened, and acted upon, fan feedback. We have been engaging with the club, both directly, and through the Fan Engagement Framework, since early-February to make the case for more affordable and attainable tickets to attract the next generation of supporters. Whilst the price of matchday tickets in modern football is considered by many to be too expensive (and early indications from our end of season survey closing on 27th June indicate that almost 70% of fans feel the cost of match day tickets is unfair), many clubs across the top two divisions of English football have been increasing ticket prices in recent years. Based on supporters views the Foxes Trust set out in an Open Letter to the Club on 27th February that, should we be relegated back to The Championship, at a bare minimum ticket prices should return to levels used in the 2023/24 season when we were last playing football at this level. We also told the Club we wanted to see more of the sensible pricing used for FA Cup games in order to get increased attendances and the next generation of supporters inside the stadium. Thanks to your voice on ticket pricing, and the Trust taking up this issue on your behalf (in collaboration with other supporter groups) through the Fan Engagement Framework, we have today seen a step in the right direction on ticket pricing by the Club as pricing across Categories A & B will remain at 2023/24 levels and new Categories C & D is introduced for a minimum of five games (at lower cost than any home league game during our last season in The Championship). We still have no indication on the Club’s approach to the general sale of tickets so, at the next Fans Consultative Committee Working Group meeting on 10th July, the Trust will be encouraging the club to re-introduce general sale for home league games more regularly than it has done in the past to ensure capacity crowds at the King Power Stadium. But, today, it should be commended that Leicester City have listened to fan feedback on match day ticket prices and taken a step in the right direction to give as many fans as possible the chance to see their team live in action this upcoming season. Premier League has charged LCFC with an alleged breach of PSR
Foxes_Trust replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Correct. The stadium is registered as a Asset of Community Value which provides some protection. If the current owners decide to sell, the prospective new owners would need to talk to the Trust. -
It's an article for supporters, not a letter to the club. The Trust has already, and will continue to, tell the club about how we feel their communication with fans is lacking and why. We have shared suggestions with the club and will also be publishing our end of season survey results in-full which will be rich in insight on what fans want to see from the club But part of campaigning effectively on key issues is also getting fans talking about them and aware of how the club compares to others. It shouldn't be the case that everything the Trust publishes is written for the consumption of the club.

A quick call out that our end of season survey ends on Friday this week. If you haven't yet completed, please do so here. An interesting observation is that the two lowest demographics of respondents currently completing the survey is under 18 and aged 18-30. We believe these age groups, as the future of Leicester City support, are important to have contributing to the results given they are affected by so many of the key issues covered in the survey. With that in mind, if you're in the under 30 age group, please participate and encourage other LCFC fans of a similar age to do so as well. If you're aged over 30 and have completed but know a younger LCFC fan, please ask them to participate as well. We'll also be announcing what happens next with the results in the coming days so please keep an eye out on this thread and across our social media channels. -
We have today published another article on the Communication Void. This time, we have taken a look at how other clubs in a comparable situation have handled comms recently. Available on our website here and in-full below: LCFC & The Communication Void (Part Two) While Ipswich and Southampton are busy setting out their approach to life in the Championship, we still have silence from Leicester City. As part of our objective to hold the club to account to the highest standards of business management and operational performance, over the last 12 months the Trust, both in meetings with the club, and through the Fan Engagement Framework has told LCFC it needs to improve communications with its supporters and be more transparent. But the communication void continues. In respect of the club’s preparation for the coming season, all we know is that some friendlies are lined up. In the last few weeks fans and the media have been talking about the communication void. Anyone who’s knows anything about ‘Comms’ is aware that where a void occurs, others fill it with speculation, rumours and ‘what if’s’. On one LCFC fan’s Message Board someone posted ‘Obviously the club are busy behind the scenes.’ Really? Are they? … Or have they all just gone on holiday. Three days after our article published on 9 June, the Radio Leicester Bootroom show covered 30 minutes of Matty Fryatt and Jack Rafferty discussing what might be happening. But they don’t know. None of us do. Not even it would seem, Ruud. The irony is, on the same day, Mark Ashton, the Chairman of Ipswich Town, did a 45-minute interview with the media setting out their plans. He didn’t give specific information about which players would be sold and bought, but he did give a clear insight into the club’s direction of travel, their policy about recruitment, his faith in the manager, their style of play and the way they would continue to move forward. Most Ipswich fans would feel reassured and believe they were in good hands. We took a look at what’s happened at Southampton. Their new Director of Football (DoF), Johannes Spors, following his appointment in March, did a 45-minute interview and a round of Q&As with other media and fans. The main message that coming out of this was exactly what his responsibilities would be. What he would be accountable for and judged on. Then Southampton had the appointment of Will Still. As you would expect more interviews followed but what is clear Still and Spors are on the same page about what they want. Southampton fans know what’s happening and the direction of travel. Now following that, their Chairman and owner, Dragan Solak, has sat down with BBC Radio Solent and held his first interview with them since his company, Sport Republic acquired a majority stake in Southampton in early 2022. He talked knowledgably about football, gave assurances that he’s not selling up, covers the prospects of working with his Director of Football and his new manager Will Still. He accepts the failures of last season, and the fact that they didn’t act quickly enough to replace Jason Wilcox as DoF when he left for Manchester United before their Premier League campaign commenced. This is engagement with the supporter base. This is how to get, and keep, supporters on board. The big fear for Leicester City supporters is whether we have people at the club, whether it be the Chairman, the Director of Football, or the Head of Comms at LCFC, who have the skill set and the capabilities to even be able to give interviews of this nature, let alone whether they will. Two weeks after we published our first article regarding commenting on the silence from the club following our relegation nothing has changed. Minutes of the Fans Consultative Committee Working Groups, remain hidden away on the club’s website. Minutes which contain information many fans would find informative because they covered matters such as ticketing, safe standing, the match day experience, and more. Just making them accessible would have been a start. But it seems real engagement doesn’t seem to be as important to LCFC as marketing. It’s time for them to change. Have your say: Foxes Trust End of Season Survey (now live)
Foxes_Trust replied to Foxes_Trust's topic in Leicester City Forum
Almost 3,000 LCFC supporters have now completed our end of season survey: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/B7QG28De From what those supporters have told us, we can already see what’s most important to them about the way our club is being run. But we still want to hear from more of you, and if you’ve not already completed the survey, you can help us get over that 3,000 mark (our aim is to hit 3,250+ to represent 10% of King Power Stadium capacity) by doing so in the next two weeks before the survey closes on Friday 27th June. If you’ve already completed it, remind your supporter friends and family that it’s their chance to have their say. You’ll be seeing further publicity about the survey in the next few days, and we’ll also be armed with our leaflets at the Union FS Summer Tournament at Kirby Muxloe FC on 21 June. We will be publishing the survey results in full, in early July. We’ll also be hosting an online session for members and non-members around that time to present the key findings and to share the approach we’ll adopt to take things forward with the club. What is currently clear is that almost 90% of those completing the survey see it as important that the Foxes Trust hold the club to account. We will to do that, and the more people that participate in the survey, the more it strengthens our case. -

The survey is still open here: https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/B7QG28D But it won’t be for too much longer and we’ll be announcing a closing date pretty soon! So please take 5 minutes to complete if you haven’t already done so. -
About to hit 3,000. We’d like to get to 3,250+ to represent 10% of the stadium capacity. And, yes, we’re going to release the full results report (which will be 60+ pages) and run an online session in early July to present key findings and what we’ll do next. We’ll send the results to all our media contacts and invite them to the online session too.

Unfortunately that role is not as much of a given as you might think… The Trust has to therefore strike a balance, hopefully you can appreciate that. There’s a time for the harder and more direct comms (you’ll have seen a couple of examples of that more recently from us) but not every statement the Trust makes is going to be that. And I say that as one of the newer board members that joined to try and improve the comms. You want us to be harder and more direct. We will be. But an update piece about some hidden minutes on the club site isn’t our best time and place to do it (or it can lose effect). Off the back of a survey with large participation and armed with data will give us more to go to the club with with real strength.

It’s Jamie here, Ryan. Obviously I wasn’t privy to any of the discussions you had with Trust board members way back when, as I wasn’t involved with the Trust at that point, but it seems like you feel you weren’t listened to and that’s obviously still frustrating for you. I get it. But I don’t think it’s fair on the people you were speaking to at the time to keep quoting whatever discussions you had with them (some of them aren’t on here to have right of reply and I’ll not do it via the Trust account when I wasn’t party to any of the discussions). A lot has changed in how the Trust operates since then and I think it only undermines the efforts we’re making in the here and now. I’ve said to you before, your energy would be much better on the inside of the Trust, and there are 4 board members up for election at the end of this year (which means potentially 4 new board members if people want to get involved and win their spot via the ballot). As always, happy to chat if you’re open to it.

Just to address some of these comments, which are all very fair, but hopefully helpful to have some additional context on where we’re up to and what’s next. As the official supporters trust we have a role in the Fan Engagement Framework (this is where the Trust has a rep on the FAB and we make sure we send a couple of board members to each of the Fan Engagement Framework sessions that take place). We have been telling the club for a while now that the minutes from these meetings need to be published quicker and more visibly and felt from the last session that the penny had dropped with the club that communication needed to be better, quicker and more visible - it was somewhat progress to see that also minuted so that it is on-record as an issue. When the minutes were eventually released, they were somewhat buried and hard for the average fan to find. We wanted to draw attention to them so the statement we published is with the aim of bringing them to the attention of the wider fan base (if you hadn’t seen them before but now have then that’s a positive because fans need to be aware of what is in these minutes). But, of course, we are continuing to see subpar communication from the club post-relegation and have also shared concerns there. What this piece was not meant to be was a fix-all-issues piece, or the main way the Trust will be holding the club to account. That will come off the back of our end of season survey when we have real data to back our arguments (about to pass 3,000 responses) and that the club should have no excuse not to hear. We’re about to announce the closing date for our survey (it will be Friday 27th June), will publish results in-full in early July and be taking issues to the club at that point. Ahead of then, you will see the odd smaller piece here and there.

We have today published an article on the continued silence from LCFC: https://foxestrust.co.uk/11888/lcfc-and-the-communication-void The club has remained largely silent since relegation, other than brief comments in the Southampton home game programme, and the recent announcement about contract extensions for ‘nine rising stars’. Leicester City supporters have heard nothing from the club about whether Ruud van Nistlerooy will be with us for the start of the 2025/26 Championship season, and seemingly, from his comments, he doesn’t know either. There may be valid and legitimate legal reasons for that because of the PSR / financial situation, but we’re left in limbo for now. There has been nothing from the club about where they may have got things wrong. This is after a season which saw us relegated on 20 April, after nine Premier League home games in a row without scoring, accumulating a meagre points total, and still with five games to play. There’s been no accountability or responsibility, and no indication of what the plan is regarding playing staff and style of play when the Championship season starts on 8 – 10 August … in nine weeks. One of the big issues raised at the meeting of Fans Consultative Committee Working Groups on 30 April was the growing disconnect between the fans and the club, and the failure of the club to communicate. Foxes Trust Board Member Harry Gregory represented the Trust at the event on 30 April, along with Ian Bason who attended in his role as the Trust representative on the Fan Advisory Board. The minutes have now been published, but unless you dig deep into the LCFC website, they are difficult to find. Both our Trust Board members taking part believe them to be a very fair representation of the sessions they took part in, and Harry said it was good to read that the minutes accurately stated: “It was felt that the disconnect between fans and the Club was largely due to a ‘communication void’ from the Club. Group members felt unhappy with the lack of communication from senior leaders/owners at the Club about relegation and requested a statement from the owners/leaders.” Despite the ‘communication void’, being spelt out to the club in the fan engagement meetings, and it being openly referred to in the minutes drafted by the club, over a month later, nothing changes. The minutes, which record a wealth of information of interest to most LCFC supporters, are buried on the official website. Issues like … Steps to engage better with LCFC supporter groups The excellent work carried out in respect of Leicester City in the Community Safe Standing The matchday experience for 2025/26 Ticketing … both for home and away games with away priority points discussed, and digital ticketing. You will find full details of those discussions here: FCCWorkingGroups_MeetingThree__Final.pdf It really is worth a read and we’d encourage you to do so. Meanwhile we wait to see when LCFC will improve the way they engage and communicate with their supporters.

No, we don't get to see the overall results of those surveys. I believe the Fan Advisory Board (FAB) do get given an overview of the results at their meetings but this comes in-the-moment. We understand there has been a request to get visibility on those results in advance of the FAB meetings so that thoughts and questions can be prepared. With the surveys having run for the whole season now, hopefully the FAB can do a bit of analysis on the results from that entire period to see what can be learned from the data. -

You'll hear Foxes Trust new board member, Becky, on the BBC Radio Leicester 'When You're Smiling' podcast this week talking about the survey and hopefully those at the Bournemouth game yesterday will have again seen promotion of the survey in bars near the stadium, in the concourses and on the buses down to Bournemouth. Plan at the moment is to keep the survey open until late June as the most important thing is to keep pushing the participation numbers up (plenty of time to do so if you are reading this and haven't already). Hopefully you can see, we've made a huge effort to create awareness of this and encourage LCFC fans to contribute so that we can represent on the key issues that come out of the survey. We will be running an online event a couple of weeks after the survey closes (so early July) to present the key findings and will also publish the results in full so that anyone interested to do so can look through the data on every question in the survey. Following that, we'll provide commentaries on key trends in the survey results and updates on any response to the survey from the club. We're running this survey on the principle of anonymous participation but complete transparency with the final results. We're now approaching 2,800 participants. There's a really simple way to get to 5,000+: if everyone that has completed gets just one other LCFC fan to complete, we'll be there in no time.
