I would really hope the clubs didn't have a say in this. As we saw last year with the COVID postponements, clubs will act shamelessly to get games called off if they feel it benefits them in the slightest way.

Iheanacho has been relatively successful. Maguire and Evans both good signings (although not sure they really count as were both acquired from relegated teams ). I think you're right, especially in the last few years, that buying from other Prem clubs is a recipe for disaster. The value for money is generally shocking.

Do you actually think we can though? Clubs will know we are desperate and that we have a huge amount of money burning a hole in our back pockets, and will slap ridiculous price tags on accordingly. If this had happened in early July, I'd be much more comfortable. I'm seriously concerned we don't have the time now to spend this cash properly and will pay the price.
