This was the publicised attendance but, looking at the highlight footage, no chance there's 28k in last night. In fairness, people are entitled to do what they want if they've paid for a ticket. It would be good if it were more toxic, but I just can't see it getting like that - we don't have a supporter base that fanatic and, if we're honest, never have. You can shout all you like about it on an Internet forum (which I'll point out represents a tiny minority of our fanbase), it ain't gonna make a difference. I didn't use my season ticket last night and can see that being a regular occurrence moving fowards. I'd like to say it's a boycott protest but honestly, it's because I can't be arsed, have better things to do with my time and don't really give a toss anymore.

That appeared to be heading for the back of the net. How is that any different to the one given against Tarkowski at Leeds?

Came here to say exactly this. Regularly palms it straight back into the 6 yard box, has already cost us a couple of goals.

Oh 100%, better being in a slightly quicker wave going slower than a slower wave going quicker. A lot of people in green and orange who had fibbed about their predicted times I think. A learning for next time. -

Was bloody tough, wasn't it. A lot of long, steady inclines (7-8km, 18km in particular) but I feel it almost balanced itself out with some nice downhill stretches too. Tbh, I really did myself over by being in the last wave. Was constantly weaving amongst people at 2.30+ pace which was bloody exhausting, was a bit poor when people in pink wave were walking after 1.5km. -

Great North Run boxed off today - superb event and would recommend to anyone lucky enough to get a ballot place. Managed a 1:55:51 - chuffed with that given I've never previously done a half and was aiming for anything under 2. Time for a beer and a lie down. -

No one going on to make a big score after some very solid platforms is disappointing. Again, felt like a lot operating in t20 mode and not seeing the bigger picture. Great to see Archer on song with bat and ball. -

I'm afraid that's what happens when you relegate the domestic 50 over competition to nothing more than a 2nd XI tournament. Batsmen clearly have no idea how to pace an innings and bowlers no idea how to bowl a good ODI spell (which is still more about strong lines and lengths than variations). Feel sorry for those who went. Tickets aren't cheap and that was an appalling spectacle. -
I don't think anyone said it was a horrendous performance, did they?

But the cash won't have come up front for those fees either? They'll all be paid in instalments too.

It wouldn't surprise me one bit. We reported a profit on player sales of 72m in 23/24 and still turned a loss in the accounts of 19m. Add to that the wage bill comfortably outstrips turnover - we're making a loss before we've even started. Any BEK deal, even at 30m, would only give us about 10m 'profit' to play with in this year's financial statements and that's if they're even willing to spend it. I suspect the financial position at the club is much worse than they would have you believe. -
If other people having a giggle at the result of the football team you support really enrages you to this extent, I'd suggest you need to get out more.
-
Yeah, good luck with that. No other football club on the planet is going to be dim enough to buy him and match whatever eye watering wage the galaxy brains at LCFC have put him on.
-
Genuinely think I'd take Stephen Hughes and Gareth Williams over this shower.
-
Come off it. It's hilarious to watch this bunch of chancers be shown up.
-
I don't think people care anymore, and tbh I'm in that group. People are genuinely in the stands just having a giggle at the so called 'footballers' playing for us. I only go nowadays for the social aspect, a day out and a few pints with the old man and my mates. Does that make me part of the problem?
-
Doesn't give a single shit does he? Watching him strut around central midfield yesterday doing f**k all as usual defensively was painful. Talented player (at Championship level) but his attitude is unbearable. Get him binned off if he doesn't want to be here.
-
They take the f***ing piss man. How can you genuinely turn in a half-arsed, shite performance like yesterday and then have the sheer brass neck to have a pop at fans who have given up significant time and money to show up and support. When the performance is that bad people are well within their rights to leave early and show discontent. I like Fatawu, but a little self-reflection is required here. The fans are not the problem. Your teammates are.

17 years old! Looks an absolutely fantastic young player. Could we see an England team with 2 sets of brothers in it (the Rews and the Ahmeds) at some point in the coming years? -
These will go soon too. Has already been a big discussion at EFL level about scrapping them, no? Will be lumped into the same pot as FA Cup replays.
