Very handy runs by Wood and Robinson. -

Incredibly tough one. Two options imo, Bairstow in for Foakes and he keeps, or Bairstow in for Duckett/Crawley and push Brook up to open (which I think he used to do as a youngster). Personally, I marginally prefer the former, though it's very harsh on Foakes. -

Surely you cannot be this stupid. The stand, the concourse and the entry routes to it are geared up to cater for the capacity of 3,000. I accept that if an extra 20/30 get in or attempt to then no major problems are created, but if large, extra numbers turn up then serious issues happen (the consequences of which I surely do not need to spell out, given the news over the last 2 days). I just don't think it's a great idea to be advocating that sort of behaviour on a public forum which hundreds of people (if not more) read. -

And what happens when thousands of people turn up with this objective? -

Not sure comments like this are particularly helpful tbh. Especially on the very day that someone has died and two others lie in a critical condition following a crush caused by people trying to 'jib' at the O2. -

56 wickets in 12 tests, at an average of 20. Ridiculous start to a test career really. -

Ollie Robinson deserves massive praise too. Must have been really tough for him earlier this year when he was dropped and publicly shamed over his fitness, but he's knuckled down and appears to have come back an absolute machine. Loved seeing him jogging back to his mark to get through the overs quicker. Also did not know he had that skilful reverse swing in his locker. I've always thought of him as a classic line and length metronome, but his inswingers today were unplayable at times. -

Phenomenal win. The way Stokes/McCullum have transformed this team's fortunes has been nothing short of a miracle. -

I don't think so, people saying it will are probably slightly overestimating imo. 6.5k is a massive number to take on a Tuesday night, right before Christmas, even if it is fairly local. 4.5k is a more realistic estimate, although I'd love to be proven wrong and we do sell it out. -

Benjamin Stokes Is there a better player to have on your side in the big, pressure moments? Surely not. -

Sam Curran, phenomenal. Was sceptical of him as a death bowler at first but he's been superb this tournament. Easy chase on paper but I feel there's some twists to come yet. As others have said looks a tricky pitch to bat on and colossal boundaries. -
Chelsea so lacklustre, really poor. Great finish from Willock mind. Newcastle fans are just so insufferable, can't really stand seeing them so near the top and lapping it up.

Obviously Perez's work in the build up was exceptional, but Barnes deserves a lot of credit for that goal also. Look at where he actually runs from, the burst of pace and the desire to get in behind was brilliant. Tidy low finish too. Also noticed today he seemed more willing to run at the full back, rather than consistently cutting back and laying back into LB or CM. That's when he's at his best. Great to see him with his confidence back and hope he can keep it up, because when he's on form he's a huge asset to us, as he would be any team.

Wow, what a mullering. Take a bow Hales and Buttler. -
Slightly concerning that we have to do this, I must say. Can have nothing to do with FFP as this won't hit the P&L. Unless this is to fund January transfers, which I see as unlikely, the constant hemorrhaging of short-term debt suggests we have overstretched ourselves financially and are struggling to meet our cash requirements for wages, training ground bills, etc.

Good end tonight. Really enjoyed that.

Yeah he did say those things post match. But there was nothing about being assessed by the medical team this morning and nothing concrete on him playing whatsoever. Guardiola always plays these games in his pressers, plus if thr fever wasn't enough to keep him and Cancelo out last night I'm sure it won't at the weekend either.

Ha, neither could Leicester City Xtra clearly. Shows the problem with modern 'news' sources...
-
Not a slight on you Stan as i was drawn in by this at first, but it's complete false news before anyone gets their hopes up. If you actually go to the @ spbajko he's tweeted nothing of the sort so no idea where they've pulled that from.

Totally our own fault for attacking too late. Well played Ireland, no less than they deserved. -
Ajinkya Rahane on board for next season apparently. That's a belting signing and will offer a lot on and off the pitch.
