Maguire will be great for them imo as much as it pains me to say it

Would rather he didn’t go obviously he’s a good player whether he become great remains to be seen. Not really any emotional attachment to him he’s only been here a few years.

This situation is going to keep arising with all our top players who will want to leave when the big clubs come calling. I’m not trying to be cynical or anything but it’s the reality. If Maddison keeps on improving a big club will come in for him. Same with Tielemans down the line if he keeps on improving. In fact I’ll predict right now Man U will make a 100 million bid for him in a couple years lol. Like others have said there’s always going to be pressure to find a similar or better standard replacement.

I could understand him wanting to go Man City because I think he’s the type of player Guardiola would get the best out of and I could actually see him improving even further there. But Man Utd? They are basically competing for the same position in the league as we are. I can’t see them breaking back into the top four anytime soon either. Unless they’ve got some top quality signings up their sleeve? So yea in conclusion money always talks .
