Maybe another sign that Enzo won't be here next season...
-
Think you've misunderstood me. The last few seasons as a defensive midfielder his tackling ability had diminished, this season he's been deployed as an 8 and his tackling stats would always be less than that of a pure ball winning DCM. But he helped win the ball much higher up the pitch, hence the stats that showed we were one of if not the best side in the league at winning the ball in the final third. His energy and anticipation that made him so good at winning the ball for us returned last season for the most part.

Got at least one more year according to a relative of Luke's who posts on here.

Under the Wasserman stable. Suspect Jonny Morris is going to be busy on KDH going and O'Hare coming in.

Who do you want for next season in the PL

Good question. If he goes for quality over quantity then he needs to relax his fixation of not rotating because he hasn't got the same level of quality in every position on the bench. -

We don't have any central midfielders left. Think we'll need 3-4 new CM's, 2 new CBs and 2 wingers and 2 strikers -
Maziz is PL material IMO

100% he's bigger, especially how the club has been ran in recent years. Don't deserve him. I will never ever underestimate what he has done for us, so privileged to have been alive during this last decade or so. Anything from here on in is secondary, I'll still go wild about how crap we are in the future, but have to check myself on what he has given us.
-
I've said it before and I'll say it again - Jamie Vardy is far bigger and far better than our football club. Some would moan but liquidate us when he goes. We don't deserve life after Vardy.
-
If you smear yourself in fish paste and then have a bath, you shouldn't be congratulated just for having a bath. If we can't offer Vardy what he deserves then the sad indictment is we've brought this on ourselves and that should never be forgotten. I hope they don't try and hide that by keep paying over the odds to take the spotlight off them on certain things. The PR on Vardy is bigger than anything at this club, in some ways I hope he makes a stand for the greater good of this club.

The family stand should have got as much interaction as the top. Whether kids are making up chants and a wall of noise or not, they are our future. They idolise these players.
-
He didn't deserve us not to finish in the top 4 in 2020/21 with the amount of goals and pounts he won us, and he more than anyone deserved to win the FA Cup. Bizarre career here but I'll always have a soft spot for him.
-
I just don't think he suits the predicament we are in and the bits that piss me and possibly other fans off will be exacerbated next season IMO.

I don't mind him having such high standards and principles that mean he'll challenge the board and if it doesn't align then he'll leave. That's far more honourable to me than how Brendan played it. Contributed to a decline, gobbed off and essentially was waiting around to be sacked. The issue is, the problems that precede Enzo don't miraculously disappear over night in regards to finances. However, those who we believe to have had a major hand in this are still sat at their desks and it's fascinating to see he's perhaps the closest we've seen to openly declare we need new directors such as a new DOF. He's unlikely to win this battle, but maybe he casts enough light that it's the beginning of the end for some. That I respect him for. It's the unwavering ideology he had that I don't think suits this situation and has left me incredibly annoyed with him. It'll only get worse when we're losing more matches. Maybe I'm irrational but pragmatism is going to be needed without the budget required to match his specific principles. I'm possibly demanding something from a manager that is impossible to get completely spot on. Plenty to like about Enzo. The football is good, he's cut from a different cloth to most which is refreshing but I'd still shake hands and see him off to pastures new with plenty of goodwill all around.

Yes, he actually came on in at least one EFL game too.
-
I've enjoyed the football, I've not enjoyed a lot of his principles and I don't think I ever will unless he changes. Not arsed if he goes, not arsed if he stays.

No Alves in the squad 😢

Would cap a very memorable season. Not seen him in any of the footage in the lead up though. -
I can see him joining Brendan at Celtic. Lovely arrogance. Same agent stable.
-
His ability to tackle has returned this season just from much higher up the pitch. We lead the stats for winning the ball in the final third, it's quite evident why Enzo went for Ndidi in that role compared to other options in the squad. Would be intrigued to see if he could get back to the level he used to be, his performance vs Chelsea in the FA Cup from a ball winning perspective was promising, he was very good.

It would be exceptional if this were to happen and it's noble of him to raise the issues. However, our financial predicament doesn't magically resolve itself. This is why I think we might have to shake hands this summer.

Did you think the same about Cambiasso after his year at Leicester? We need as many leaders as possible next season to overcome what we could be hit with. A couple of experienced signings to replace the outgoing experience will be needed. -
Genuinely can't fathom out how he didn't prosper at Sporting, even in a wing back system. He's one of the best defensive wingers I've seen and could play wing back even, but would thrive in a 3-4-3.

2002/03 is my favourite LCFC home shirt this century.
