Is the squad for AFCON even smaller than standard qualifier / friendlies? If so, there is a chance he doesn't go. That said his current form might have convinced them to promote him ahead of others.
-
Fatawu is on the periphery for Ghana, it would be very annoying if they take him and barely use him. I hope we can have a sensible chat with the Ghanaian FA but maybe what happened with Schlupp 10 years ago will put paid to that.

Praet will need to brush up on his weight of pass, a minor gripe but on Wednesday nearly every pass of his looked like the grass was 12 inches long. Undercooked everything.

That wasn't this week?? -
Fancy us to do Ipswich on Boxing Day like we did Burnley away in 2013/14

Phenomenal talent

Looks strong to me

Can only presume Alves is injured because that's ridiculous to put Ward on the bench over him. Enzo might be playing up to the fan base and club on Alves with his comments.
-
No, not necessarily. For some reason Enzo doesn't have him training with the 1st team full time. He's not been seen with the 1st team in the videos or photos for several weeks.
-
I'd be surprised as he wasn't in the training video the club have posted. Maswanhise and Nelson were again.
-
Yeah, I think those who presume you have an effective starting XI and little else are ignorant. The biggest danger for Ipswich is probably the high energy style you play, if your squad loses confidence or fitness it can be difficult to navigate that but that's no different really to any side. It's also easy to presume you'll eventually stop being as fortunate as it would appear on paper in games you go behind in and then recover to win points. People haven't watched you to grasp that most of the time it's deserved (less so last night and away at Bristol City) but plenty of other games I've seen of yours you've been relentless to overcome going behind. You're the real success story of this season, Boxing Day will be a massive game. The follow up game a few weeks later as big and we will have at least 4, possibly 5 away at AFCON and the Asian Cup.
-
Agreed. Him or Hayden Hackney have very bright futures.
-
Ipswich have Norwich, Leeds and us to come. Tonight's spawny win is hardly a massive surprise. Watford are pony anyway.
-
And yet it's nigh on impossible to get better stats than he's got this season across almost every metric.
-
Daniel Farke seldom makes changes to his Leeds starting line up. I wonder how much strain that puts on the main XI. I think certain teams over rotate (we might be at risk of that on occasion) but the intensity Leeds play at and the amount of games, I'd expect more changes. It'll hopefully backfire on them.
-
I do wonder if the club will be prompted to try and encourage a better atmosphere if our manager continues to plead with our fans to get behind them. It would be ignorant of the club to not shoulder any of the blame on the current state of it.
-
I just think there's a opportunity we can pull away from Ipswich in the next month, which is more logical than Leeds.
-
Funny one because if Ipswich were to lose tonight and we win tomorrow. Then they lose to Leeds and we beat Rotherham, we go in to that game on Boxing Day potentially 7 points clear of them and a chance to go 10 clear.
-
It also shows that it's basically the first 4 games that did it.
-
Really hope the club, player and Ghana are sensible over how essential he is to their squad next month.
-
What we do know for certain is Justin is rapid and Doyle isn't. That's a huge change to this system that we have to be mindful of. We have badly missed Doyle's progressiveness from defence though.
-
Yunus is starting to prove himself very delicate isn't he. A real shame, he's got a lot of technical ability.
-
You are theoretically correct but our consistency across this season from game 1, shows how difficult it is for those behind us to catch us unless we drop off.
-
If anyone wants some PR material as to why Enzo's style of football is most effective, this is it. Our fixation on control of games over attacking freedom is all played out. We're taking points in games relentlessly both deserved and sometimes less deserved or in close games. Some might say Leeds are proving its only a matter of time before their actual matches expected but for all Leeds attacking prowess, they give up scenarios that have cost them points or at least a chunk of goals that make the stats skewed. Despite all this we've scored more than them, conceded far less than them and it's a fascinating battle. I'd prefer we were home and hosed by mid winter but it's not going to happen. We need minimum 90-95 points for automatic.
