Development/Youth Squads 2025/2026 Thread - U18/U21
Ric Flair replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Any idea if Motsi has formally told the club he's leaving yet? -
How on earth have any of our fans got the mental fortitude to stick up for those in charge of our football club. I can accept you disregard the past when there's evidence of change or a new era under a new operation but this is the same mob, in our worst position in our entire history of existence and history is repeating itself from recent years of no manager and seemingly no plan.

Not enough is said about Joachim. Unplayable on his day. Him and Heskey within a few years of one another and then not a single top level striker since (let's hope Evans/Hutchinson/Otchere break that drought)

Will also check out Saltstick. I'm concerned about replenishing enough electrolytes on Saturday. Will run with x 2 500ml bottles with Pure sport electrolytes which are 1000mg each but will need to get more at half way, which should be do-able as people are meeting me. -

I always ask myself in this heat, what would Mick Quinn be doing -
Yes, we were told this by one of the most well respected people involved in football. Local businessmen interested in buying us and were flatly told no. Whether it's them again and the stance has softened...

Thanks Davie. It's a funny one as i'm not going to underestimate the seriousness of addiction and how hard it is to change but I think i've been a mix of fortunate and so determined and ready to change than when I accepted that and welcomed abstinence that it's been an incredibly rewarding journey. I will never let my guard slip, I know i'd be straight back where I ended up if I did and I am not doing that again, no way. -

Went on a mates podcast about addiction to discuss my battle as a compulsive gambler. It'll be 8 years next week since my last bet. If anyone out there is struggling, my door is always open to lend an ear. You are not alone, you can turn your life around around very a life free from addiction. -

Hahahahahaaa -
Yes he is on good money at Stoke
-
Maybe, but think he'd still be a big option for most Championship middle of the road teams.
-
Middlesborough will comfortably win this now and there will be absolute uproar from Hull City 😂
-
Potentially yes, but even if he was still pretty nifty without i'd be very careful at paying the wages he'd command.
-
Given the stringent rules in League One, I have to question decision making if we were to employ a manager on the wages Robins would likely command.
-
Anyone see the irony of complaining about the magnitude of the value of the playoff final game and being punished for cheating in a game of such significance. That is likely why the punishment is so severe. Prats.
-
This is where Rudkin ignoring all and sundry contacting him would be most welcome 😂
-
Agreed pal
-
Contract up next summer so not inconceivable he forces our hand but i'd hope he views our decline as the opportunity he's not yet had to finally make it here.

All I have repeatedly heard is its before June, so end of next week. Curiously it seems widely held the commitment to signing a pro deal is not legally binding if the player were to try and get out of it but it is not straight forward either in football. It's not yet happened from what I gather, so we're bound to be victims of the first at some point 😂

It's a fascinating topic. I always had targets of middle distance accolades over the longer distances as where does it bloody end but they are completely different challenges that require different discipline and application. I don't miss the short term grabbed by the jeffries pain of a 5k full send or intervals to bring that time down and i've seemingly enjoy far more the graft of a 16 week block that's measured and consistent. There probably comes a point where they cross over, that's where Halfs come in which are my favourite distance but sending them can be an excruciating experience as much as the latter part of a marathon (I presume as admittedly only done one and got away with it so far). -

I've got what I hope is the real deal unless a very reputable outlet are selling schneids 😂 How fcukin good are they!!! I'm in bits post London and at risk of unravelling but got to keep it pinned for this memorial run i'm not not doing. But these are a joy to run in. They give me more of a buzz than a brand spanking Ben Sherman back in the day, waltzing about like the guv'nor.
