Oh for God's sake. He's supported Saints since he was a kid. I really can't abide the state of his party and his political beliefs but this is just as pathetic. He's allowed to express support for his own team ffs, however fair weather that may be these days and of course it's a shameless appeal to populism. At least he didn't confuse West Ham for his supposed allegiance to Villa like Cameron. I guarantee if this had been say Andy Burnham posting about Everton's survival last season, or more pointedly, former leader of the Scottish Labour Party and Scottish MP Richard Leonard posting about Leeds United, you would have ignored it and it wouldn't have irked you in the slightest. And if you hadn't noticed, football is no longer a 'working class' game whilst it continues to shit on those roots from a great height.

So should life...lethal and it invariably leads to death.

A friend of mine has just picked up this Buell X1 Lightning. Eric Buell was a visionary, the design is remarkable and one of the first radical road going experiments into mass centralisation. The fuel goes in the frame and the oil into the swinging arm. when you ride it, you're sat directly over the rear wheel. It's very squat and compact, yet that's a tuned 12000 cc Harley Sportster engine nestled in there - so it has oodles of torque. He had one when they first came out, but it was stolen from his garage. Remarkable that this is over 20 years old and as dated as the Streetfighter genre is, still looks radical. He's having it sprayed all black.

Having ridden motorcycles since the age of 15, cars have never really been significant or important to me beyond the functional. I drive a battered 13 year old Astra 1.8 SRi and couldn't give a shit. The only issue I've ever had with it other than general expected wear and tear, (such as track rods, brakes, bearings, etc), was a few months after I bought it. The previous owner had done an appalling job spot welding the ring gear. - and it failed, which was expensive. Had to bump start it everywhere until it could be fixed. It's a bit of a nail now, but I've meticulously looked after the engine so it just goes on and on. There was an issue recently though. It started cutting out, particularly in the middle of sharp bends or when I flung it into a corner or roundabout. It seemed electrical not mechanical per se, but in addition to the possibility of an erroneous sensor, (crankshaft?), or alternator or it could equally have been the EGR valve, throttle bodies, an issue with the fuel pump...the list is endless and the process of elimination an exhaustive rabbit hole. Odd that this usually happens when you come off the throttle but this wasn't the case. It would restart immediately, which lead me to consider the ignition. That then made me realise that I drive with the key attached to a very hefty and weighty bunch of keys. So just as I do with my bike, I removed the key prior to putting it in the ignition. 1,000 miles later and it hasn't happened again. Clearly over time, the barrel had become worn and the weight of the keys and the swinging key chain was triggering the immobiliser. Sorted. It's always roadworthy but a bit of a clown car now - in that it's showing its age. I intent to run it until it stops, but resent spending money on something that I don't really want or have any interest in. I should, because there are far better cars on the market in terms of the environment and if it doesn't give up altogether that may sway me first. **** this, on to the 'motorcycles are brilliant' thread.

Yes, correct we did. But his actual words were "they went to Leicester" so he was referring solely to the home fixture.

3 points. To be fair his actual words were, "they went to Leicester" . "Mullered" is a poor choice of words though. They didn't destroy us at all because they couldn't make their chances count whilst that gallant performance from Choudhury completely ruined their day and is one of the standout defining points of our season. I do think that they were one of the toughest teams we played at home though and they are capable of causing major problems for Southampton's fragile defence. Of the four, I'd most like to see the Baggies promoted. Quite like to see Saints stay down and Pompey do the double over them next season.

As if 'Ten Years to Save the West' wasn't ludicrous enough, it is entirely possible that Truss took her inspiration from nutbars like South Dakota Governor. Kristi Noem, who suggested that Joe Biden may wish to wish to (literally) take a leaf from her book ('No Going Back') in which she details how she shot her pointer, (Cricket), in the head for being ill-tempered and aggressive. Yep, yet another gun toting, deranged MAGA lunatic and aspiring Trump running mate elect that gives even MTG a run for her money has spent the last week on US television defending a grisly account in the book in which she shot her dog in a gravel pit and her recommendation that Joe Biden should do the same to his German Shepherd, Commander. It transpires that after the deed was done, her Billy Goat also ate a lead breakfast for being "nasty and mean" and " smelling terrible". Only it didn’t kill him with the first shot, and she had to go back to her truck for more ammunition to finish the job. Even Trump himself is aghast - not so much about putting a bullet to a defenceless animal's head, but more why someone would feel the need to jeopardise their political career by telling the world about it. She has also alleged that she dropped out of the Primary race because Nikki Hayley threatened her, refers to Democrats as political creatures worse than donkeys, (perhaps she'd like to shoot them too?) and described a meeting she supposedly had with Kim Jong-un which her spokesman later acknowledged was "an error". This woman was was the U.S. representative for South Dakota's at-large congressional district from 2011 to 2019, and a member of the South Dakota House of Representatives from 2007 to 2011.

Evidently, half of the members on here clearly don't think they need them.

First visit to Idle Torque of the year... A Gamma! Had one of these on loan at the time - pretended to be Schwantz, although I daren't take my hand off the clutch lever for fear that the damn thing would heat seize. Always thought they were much closer to a road GP bike than the RD500... Loved my old Beckett tuned LC, the powerband was insane. This beauty is in fine fettle...

The realisation that we'd ditched that atrocious goal music (albeit, followed by the disappointment of it blaring out at FT). Winks scoring at Loftus Road. Mavididi taunting the Birmingham City fans at St Andrews by climbing over into the stand and sitting on the wall facing them. There was also an extraordinary piece of skill from Fatawu at the KP in which he beat his man, cut into the 18 yard box, flicked the ball up first touch and struck a volley which hit the crossbar. Can't recall who we were playing. That would have been goal of the season had it gone in. Hamza's valiant defending against West Brom which was pivotal in securing the title. Faus Beckenbauer. The revelation of Mads following a season of Ward. The rebirth of Vestergaard who has been nothing short of outstanding at this level.

Ridden it many times

Nice - Countisbury/Lynmouth by the looks of it.

As if the manager poll wasn't tragic enough - that thread about being done with the supporting the club - really? Pathetic.

Tommy Williams' testimonial.

Only on this forum - I swear.

"Shit footballer" that Faes. **** me, this forum. Jeez.

That was some ball from Ndidi.

There are complete nutters on this forum and in the stands that said the same about Chilwell. The lynch mob decides and it becomes not only very tedious but vitriolic. And no, he's not "just shit". Our very questionable fanbase always feels the need to find a scapegoat as a coping strategy, the cognitive bias then takes over.
