I don't think McGinley was particularly blaming Bhatia (although 10 practice swings for his pitch was a bit OTT), more the fact Rory can lose focus when waiting to play. Everyone knows he likes to play quickly but so does Aberg and he didn't blow up like Rory did. I guess that's why Rory is working with Bob Rotella on the mental side of the game.

Thought McGinley's insight into Rory losing focus on 15 was interesting. Akshay fvcking about for 5 minutes then having to wait for 16 to clear. Gutted for him really. Recent history says if you're not in the top 5 after day 1 you're unlikely to win it.

I know what you mean. I know the quality in the Championship isn't great but I enjoy it. It's more physical, players can still tackle without getting sent off, and of course there's no VAR (yet) to ruin everything. Fewer tourists, more midweek games, and better atmospheres than most PL grounds. The championship just feels more real and honest football to me.

Might have to go back and do it again next year!
