Just got back from my uncles funeral which is exactly a week after his sisters/my Mum’s funeral. Which was a month after my best golf mates funeral. To then get a message to say one of my mates from Lutterworth has just died of a heart attack aged 53. Would everyone I care about stop dying please?

Official attendance less than 30k and I can’t remember that happening often for home PL games. I might have taken my lad as members but we’ve already spent about £500 this season on tickets. Just can’t afford to go week in week out with these prices.

I think Ruud talks a good game, says the right things. He’s bright, articulate, positive, and I sense the players respect him. But he’s on a hiding to nothing with this squad and the injuries he’s inherited. Time will tell but can’t see the point in getting rid of him now. No one decent would want the job anyway. Might as well give him time to build his own team in the hope he brings us straight back up.

Wolves at home was the season ending game for me. I’m still disgusted at that performance.

I enjoyed the championship last season under Enzo. Problem next season is we won’t have another Enzo to get us straight back up. We could easily now do a Cov and end up in the wilderness for years.

Nobody expected them to be top half, never mind challenge for CL places. Some pundits (e.g. Gary Neville) even predicted them to be relegated. I hate Forest as much as the next guy but if they keep doing well, they’ll get loads of plaudits and exposure whether we like it or not. Compared to the greedy 6, they’re an underdog like the rest of us.

The whole world was up our arse when we won the league. Everyone loves an underdog story

Would have been about 1979 and I was at primary school doing PE. Climbed one of those ropes, got to the top, my hands slipped, and I fell to the ground and split my head open - claret everywhere. Remember Peter Kempton standing over me and shouting "ERRRR, YOU CAN SEE HIS BRAIN!!!!" You can still see the scar 45 years on...

I never liked the taste until I realised I'd only really drank the cheap blended stuff in the past. Being introduced to single malts was a whole different ball game. Someone once told me to add three drops of water and I've always stuck with that. Maybe it does become an acquired taste with age but I notice now how just a small sip 'lasts' a while and I enjoy the whole experience of the smell and a nice heavy glass too. I'm still far from being an expert like some on here but the more I'm exploring decent whisky, the more I'm enjoying it.
