£30 Tesco club card price reduced from £43 Very nice. Not quite as class as the Glenlivet IMO but very close.

I'm sure we've also had a thread on here about what's the the difference between a legend and a cult hero!
-
You'll never get a definitive answer or agreement on this, the same as trying to define which players are 'world class' or not. Interesting debate none the less I suppose. FWIW I think players need longevity at the club to be classed as Leicester legends. e.g. someone like Cambiasso is a legendry footballer but not a Leicester legend IMHO

I thought this thread title looked familiar

Thanks everyone for your kind messages of support. I think we gave Mum the perfect send off and I hope she'd be proud. It feels like the successful end of an intense four week project plan and I don't want to be organising another funeral anytime soon - there was way more involved than I ever imagined. Everyone was great and I saw people today that I haven't seen in over 30 years. It made me realise how shit I am at keeping in touch and I really must make more of an effort from now on. Life really is all about family, friends, and relationships. I think most people are genuinely good at heart and today showed that.

My Mum’s funeral this afternoon. Expecting 200+ to turn up. Got a marquee set up in their back garden for the reception/wake after and I’m planning on doing a short speech to say a few thankyous. We sent out a just giving/tribute page with the option for people to donate to LOROS and Pancreatic cancer which has already raised over £2500 which is brilliant. Can’t wait for it to be all over tbh.

Remember he owns world class golf resorts at Doonbeg in Ireland and Aberdeen and Turnberry in Scotland, so he won't be invading them. England and Wales might be up for grabs though...

It's not about a lack of professionalism, it's about a lack of common courtesy. Anyway, I'm glad that person chose to seek advice from a qualified Counsellor.

When someone on here sends you a DM asking for advice on a personal matter. Then you spend 10 minutes crafting a thoughtful reply giving the best advice you can. Then you hear nothing back so return to the message thread to see that the person asking for advice has now 'left the conversation'. Even if it wasn't the advice they wanted or expected to hear, a simple thank you wouldn't go amiss. Charming.

I think this sentence sums up what about 90% of golf fans are currently thinking, sadly.

Got the Finau one wrong but it appears young Tom McKibbin of NI is set to join Jon Rahm's team at LIV. Quite surprising seeing as he'd just secured his PGA card, Rory is his mentor, and he was possibly in the mix for a Ryder Cup place later this year. Take the money now and hope the merger happens later I guess... McKibbin set for shock move to Rahm's LIV Golf team https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/golf/articles/crmng8xezlwo

As soon as I saw how skinny his legs were IRL, I knew he was a mistake.

It's the golfers who's courses are shut because of the floods that I feel sorry for.

Never heard of this but watched the first two episodes on Netflix Canada last night (good old VPN) Looks pretty good. Thanks for the recommendation.

Bloody egg chasers ruining my plans

Why is this a 2pm kick off not 3pm?

Carragher predicting Forest to be relegated looks almost as stupid

I find the whole simulation/time wasting/VAR stuff a massive turn off. No surprise to me that some people are now turning their back on the professional game and enjoying the purity of non league/grass roots football instead. Physicality has always been part of the game but it's chastised rather than rewarded at the top level now. If you look back to some favorite LCFC players over the years, it's often the hard men who got the crowd going with their full commitment. Not always the most technically gifted, but renowned for putting their bodies on the line. Walsh, Mauchlen, Whitlow, Morgan, Huth, Taggert etc. were all as important as your Mahrez, Joachim, Knockeart and Fatawu's. Continue to sanitise the game and you'll continue to sanitise the atmosphere.
-
Something else on the pitch that used to get the crowd going was a good old fashioned crunching tackle. Watching players go in fully committed for a 50/50 ball got the crowd behind the team but you just don’t see challenges like that anymore. Football becomes less and less of a contact sport and we wonder why atmospheres suffer.

If we get relegated, it wont be because Ipswich were lucky.

Human beings are pessimistic creatures. We're seven times more likely to focus on the negative than the positive. Some experts suggest that optimism is a learned skill. And you could argue that there's not a fat lot to be positive/optimistic about our club right now.

Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official
Izzy replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
He comes across to me as very measured, relaxed, and calm in his interviews. He's either supremely confident that we'll get out of this mess, or he's in complete denial. -
Outstanding

Aspinall looks like he has the juddery yips sometimes. Tripping over the oche, backing off, stopping and laughing. Maybe it’s nerves.
