What else did martins pal have to say? The positives are he was told the club is up for sale - not sure I believe this though the media would definitely know about this if it was true very hard/impossible to keep secret
-
It’s a complete myth that dyche favours older players he brought in multiple talented youngsters whilst at Burnley including Keane, tarkowski just the first of the job of my head
-
Putting Dyche in the same bucket as wilder or O'Neil is crazy. The lack of respect Dyche gets on here. From the names mentioned Dyche would be my pick
-
Exactly I think some people seem to have this made up image of dyche in there head that isn’t true and keep bashing him for things he hasn’t actually done. Would be a very good appointment in my opinion
-
What did you hear?
-
He could but would have to break his contract which would either mean he couldn’t work until the contract was over or he would have to pay a compensation to release himself
-
Ask him ask him ask him
-
I think Rohl would be a good appointment but from the same logic of Rohl doing really well with shef wed who relied on free transfers why are people bashing Dyche who basically did the same with Burnley and got them promoted
-
cant wait until filbert escorts him out of the stadium and club forever
-
Based on what do you know him? Again not advocating he is ready to be our manager but he’s never even tried it yet and people already saying he will never make it seems ridiculously harsh and unnecessary comment
-
Just to be clear I not suggesting we should give him the position as clearly not experienced enough but on what basis is he not management material I think that’s a particularly harsh comment he could be the next big thing given time to develop his experience further down the leagues.

So here is the thing the women's game definitely imo gain huge attraction and probably will have a comparable support to the men's game in 10 - 20 years time and I think that is all or mainly going to come from young/ new supporters. I say this as someone who has found it really hard to get into the women's game for the same reasons I have never got into following serie A or la liga. I haven't been brought up following the players, club, league/ system. The reason I care so much about the lcfc men's team is because I have been following it for years and years caring through the ups and downs. The reason I don't feel the same way for the women's team is because I haven't been following it for years I don't know the players I can't put in my input and claim to know better than the manager. This will change with the younger generation more promotion of women's football along side the men's means that more people will follow it from a young age when they are first getting into football and learn to care deeply for both teams and continue to follow the twist and turns of both teams throughout their football watching life

I like your comments usually but that is a rediculous comment and I’m sure you know it

People who are not interested don't keep investing in the club, he keeps investing quite consistently. He has made many mistakes in the running or how that investment is made but the accusation that he isn't interested is hugely flawed. We need to bring in new people to manage the club on a day to day basis that know about the footballing side, we need a shake up at board level I am not disagreeing with this. However, whilst you have an owner that is still willing to heavily invest in the club why would you risk new owners that could be glazers, Tans, chansiris or Ashley's who see the club as nothing but asset stripping operations
-
I've been plenty critical of the ownership, if you look back through my posts you can see that. I will continue to call for change in day to day management and in the board room but don't think selling is the right thing at the moment

Just to be clear I don't think Rohl is a bad option I just think dyche is better. I'm going to take the slightly controversial stance of partially ignoring his time at Everton and focusing on his time at Burnley, mainly because I think this relates more to the situation we find ourselves in now. In his first year when he took over at Burnley they were struggling in the championship and in 15th after Eddie howe left them to join Bournemouth. Dyche comes in does a solid job they finish 11th. In his first full season he makes just 1 permanent signing Ashley barnes for 400 k who is a young(ish) 24 year old striker who dosent come in until January. Despite this minimal spend they finish 2nd in the championship having lost only 5 games ( we lost 6 that season) scoring the 3rd highest amount of goals and conceding the least. In 1 full season in charge he turned a bottom half team into a promotion winning team. They then spend minimally and get relegated ge next season however they then get promoted again next season after a 23 game undefeated streak with joint highest goals scored and second lowest goals conceded. In this time dyche has signed 23 year old tarkowski, 24 year old Andre gray and 22 year old michael Keane who were all young ish players with huge potential and resale value. He then keeps Burnley up in 2016/17, whilst he does spend a bit more this season most of the players he brings in are 25 or younger with the most notable this year being 24 year old nick pope In 17 / 18 Burnley make a net transfer profit. Dyche this year does bring in some older more experienced players in Cork and lennon but he also beings in 25 year old Chris wood from Leeds. Despite Burnley not spending hugely he takes Burnley and they finish 7 th that season. All on a shoe string budget Over the next few years despite Burnley only having a shoe string budget compared to other teams who were finishing mid table (around 50 m total spend, compared to West ham who Burnley finished above twice in these next 3 years around 250 m total spend) they finished top half twice. We need someone who can work with what he has and not need to spend loads to get success dyche showed he could do this fairly consistently over an extended period of time at Burnley whilst bringing in some promising younger players with resale value. Whilst Rohl has done a very good job at a basket case shefield Wednesday. They have finished 20th and 12th in his two seasons in both conceading significantly more than they scored. Yes he has done a good job but it's only over a very short period and he hasn't made them especially defensively solid or especially potent atacking. He is also actively pushing to leave Sheffield Wednesday and this makes me worry he would do the same and throw his toys out the pram if we didn't give him money to spend which I don't think we will and we can't afford another manager that does that. ( yes I know some have been lied to and rudkin needs to go but that's not the point I'm making here)
-
I prefer dyche to Rohl I really think people are severely underrating dyche
-
Dyche is 10 x the manager RVN will ever be
-
I think that's harsh, I don't think he's done well at all and think he dosent know what he's doing but I don't think ge is lazy or dosen't care he just dosen't know how to change it and has trusted the wrong people. So incompetentant - probably Lazy/ spoilt brat/ dosen't care - I don't think so
-
Yes it did change to a more possession based but as you say fast and direct is now taking over again which is more pearson/ dyche style possession football is bring found out even man city struggled trying to play that way this season
-
Fair that's more than I thought we would get
-
Have they paid us for him yet?
