  1. Well as you can probably tell we are not very good. But hopefully there are three worse than us. We do have two gems in Livramento (who was Chelsea's academy player of the year last year) that we got for 5 mill. He is going to be a big star so we are enjoying him while we have him. And Broja. 20 year old loanee from Chelsea but I think they have plans for him. He looks a player and already has 6 goals. Other than that there is talk of us being sold soon which is encouraging as for now we have a Chinese owner who is not able to invest due to Chinese restrictions so we are just trying to hang in there for now. Gutted for you guys not to win last night, everyone likes to see the so called big 6 lose.
  2. Good luck. We will hide behind the sofa and pretend we're not in.
  3. Can't help you with that one I'm afraid cos we don't want them back (and we still can't defend!). Maybe try not playing them but hyping them up on your website? Actually putting them in the shop window will probably backfire.
  4. As a Saints fan I can only apologise. Bertrand spent the last 18 months with us phoning in his performances. There was a suggestion it was because he wasn't being pushed for his place but most thought he just couldn't be bothered. Seems he still can't even after moving to you. Same can be said of Vestergaard. We got a coating from the media for selling him to you and most pundits said he was an excellent premier league defender. As you've probably seen - he isn't. He does the odd thing but mostly he's slow and ball watches. Also doesn't win his share of high balls considering his size. So us Saints fans were both bemused you bought them both - and delighted! We were not quite sure what your recruitment team were thinking....
  5. Saints fan here. Look I already feel bad that we sent you Puel (although to be fair I did try to warn you). Along with every other Saints fan I'd be absolutely over the moon if you guys would take Vestergaard off our hands. We paid around 20 mill for him and he's never nailed down a position in a defence that, for the first half of the season, was utterly shambolic. We have rallied of late and Vestergaard isn't in the team. To be fair the problems weren't all down to him, but he certainly didn't make anything better. This rumour has been met with astonishment in Southampton and we are all looking at Vestergaard in a new light. Maybe we've missed something, maybe he's not a useless totem pole that can't jump, turn or run. We are all scratching our heads but nope, we still can't see why you would want him. So to atone for sending you Puel, I'm here to tell you to avoid this guy like the plague. There, we should be even now ok?
  6. Thanks for the good wishes although I fear we're doomed. We never get anything at Everton and City at home is our last game. Aah well, it's not so bad in the Championship where you have a laugh and won a few more games... Then again as Claude would say "there are still possibilities....." .
  7. Saints fan here. I came on here last year when you employed him. Everyone was baffled as to how a "club like us" thought that a cup final and 8th place wasn't good enough. We got loads of stick in the media for wanting him gone and we were told that the fact he is boring to listen to shouldn't make any difference. It seems that you guys are coming to the same conclusion. Above all there is just something about the football isn't there. Then again by all means sack him but just make sure you replace him better than we did. Most Saints fans will tell you that getting rid of Puel was the right thing to do, but we replaced him with a total idiot and now we are hanging by a thread.
  8. Saints fan here. It's going to be really interesting to see how he does. When he arrived at Saints he immediately switched us to playing a midfield "diamond". Long story short it didn't work for us and after a few months it was quietly shelved. I'm intrigued as to what he will do with you guys. He does love possession and you have been known as a team that is not concerned with possession but will defend and then hit fast and effectively on the break (maybe to bring the best from Vardy?). Will he change your game completely, stick with what you are doing - or try to evolve to more possession-based over a period of time? Only time will tell. When he arrived post Koeman I expected him to stick with what was broadly successful but he certainly didn't shy away from changing our formation from day one. There was a lot of questions about why he would change something that was working and the players were comfortable with, but he said that with Europe etc to consider, he didn't want a pressing style that we would struggle to maintain over a season. Good thinking I suppose, but it didn't really work. Anyway we'll watch with interest to see how he approaches Leicester. i was a little negative yesterday but on the plus side he will steady the ship and move you up the table. Also he may well have done things in a certain way here due to the players at his disposal. So with a different squad of players we may well see a different side of him. No reason why not.
