  1. Our absolute joke performances at Brentford, Newcastle, Forest and a totally out of form Man Utd ,twice, without a glimer of fight are just a few examples. Arsenal battered us as did Spurs in all honesty. Our wins have been pretty much against the run of play , our keeper has been brilliant and we've still shipped loads of goals. Ipswich have been a pretty solid side apart from West Ham away and Newcastle at home. They won at Spurs and Wolves and have creditable draws at Brighton and home to Villa and Utd They lost with the last kick in a 4-3 at Brentford and late on at home to Bournemouth. A questionable ref decision prevented them from beating us as many thought we got away with that one. They've been in games for the full 90 in most and we've been outplayed in nearly all. They remind me of our season under Sir Nige as we were pretty much in every game even though we had that terrible run.
  2. Ipswich are better than us in that they've given teams proper games, even in defeat. We've been totally hopeless in most of our defeats and outplayed in most , if not all, of our victories.
  3. I'm not sure what my xG will be after taking my missus shopping this afternoon and spending quite a bit of money on her. Then I'm going out quite early, will down many drinks, have a dirty kebab or curry, come home late and do a loud crowd pleaser in the bathroom, whilst brushing my teeth. Will my xG be, encouraged into the bedroom with welcoming arms or sent to stink out the spare room?
  4. Couldn't agree moreπŸ˜†πŸ‘πŸ‘πŸ‘
  5. Wish we'd done that at Brentford, Newcastle etc. Everton stay up most years with plenty of hard fought away draws , frustrating opposition and sneaking wins as well. They're usually crap most seasons but find a way to get enough points every year
  6. Not only that , but gave them such a lift , they got another 3 points yesterday as the pressure was off a bit. They have got the new manager bounce but we made it ridiculously easy for him and them.
  7. The helicopter accident The club would be in a much better place and we obviously all love and miss Vichai
  8. Does he know a shit goalkeeper, when he sees one?
  9. This For an example, I'd say Jordan Henderson was pretty financially secure very soon after joining Liverpool, if not before. He really didn't need the overseas money ,especially after his outbursts supporting certain groups.
  10. I actually have been watching for a long time and I stand by my claim. Although the others were dreadful, they either played when we were utterly skint or didn't have a long time to establish themselves as our number 1. Ward took the shirt off Kasper and , despite getting a really good run of games , has been a liability in pretty much every game he's played. The money he's on is the clubs fault , no doubt, but I hope his missus does all the banking stuff as he's incapable of saving anything. I really hope I never see him represent us again.
  11. If you haven't seen enough of him to pass comment, then you've had a lucky escape. I did say in my post, that we were poor all over the pitch and would have lost whatever. I'm not deluded enough to expect our goalkeeper to do basic things to a reasonable level. We shifted Kasper out to save on wages, then allowed this clown to jump out of the way of shots and to leave huge gaps for strikers to easily score. Had Kasper stayed, we'd have stayed up imo He's probably the worst keeper I've seen in my years ( since the late 70's) because he's basically shit at every aspect of goalkeeping. No excuse for the dreadful defence on Saturday but he certainly makes all around him , worse than they already are
  12. As others have said , if there's a sniff of him starting next Sunday, I'll seriously think about not attending. Not his fault he got offered a ridiculous contract but the thought of taking the trouble to get in my seat and have to applaud that useless ##Β£# running towards the Kop , makes me feel sick. I was stunned at St James's on Saturday, seeing him come out of the tunnel, and knew all hope was lost, although I didn't expect it be out of reach that quickly. We'd have lost that game with a prime Kasper in goal because we were poor all over the pitch for 90 minutes bit some of those players have a bit of credit in the bank, although not much. Just travelling back down the A1 after a great weekend around some great people but all the locals said we were the worst side they've seen this season and they got no argument from me
  13. That's a rehashed version of a Kevin Ball ( Sunderland) song. Might have been one even earlier than that to the My Old Man's a Dustman song
  14. Went on a stag a few years back with a group of 40 ish and stayed at the Travelodge in Quayside. Everyone drinking on the way up from Bedford, but one bloke got properly blotto by the time we arrived. We went to a pub around the corner, which was great, but after about 1 hour he was so wasted , he decided to go back to the hotel. Instead of walking the 100 yards , he jumped in a taxi to take him back , but the driver thought it must be the Travelodge in Gateshead, so took him there. His key card worked on the same room number as the Quayside one, so he went to bed. About 6 hours later , 2 blokes walked into his room and started shouting at him to get the f out of their room , and he responded in the same way. It was like a scene from Goldilocks and the 3 bears at 3 in the morning and security was called to sort it outπŸ˜„ Another cab was called and he got back to our one in a bit of a stateπŸ˜† Great weekend in a fantastic city though🍺🍺 πŸ‘
  15. We could have a Rumble in AmbleπŸ˜„
  16. Nice one. Will defo go to the Quayside wetherspoons on Saturday, as its really nice. Probably go for a couple in the Strawberry on Sunday when it'll be quieter, as its a nice pub with lots of footy memorabilia. But mainly , I'll go where daughter suggests and I bet I'll be paying πŸ˜„
  17. Going up for this for my birthday weekend and visiting my daughter who's at Newcastle Uni. Would love to be in smug mode after, whilst out in the Toon but doubt it. You never know though and it's always a great night out anyway 🦊🀞🀞
  18. Watching the end of Leeds v Boro Leeds 3-1 up , 97th minute, the grounds still full. Hate them , but fair play to them πŸ‘
  19. Did you leave before the end?
  20. Fair playπŸ‘πŸ‘ Although some of the gigs I've been too have been lively, they're probably not that levelπŸ˜„
  21. What band have you been to see that finish with a shit song? ( just interested) I've been to see The Charlatans loads of times and they always finish with Sproston Green , which is worth the entry on its own. Although I agree as my knees and ankles are always fooked for a good few days after, as I never learnπŸ˜„πŸ˜„
  22. I agree it's peoples choice, but I can't understand why they would take the effort to attend, then miss 10-15 minutes. Most of the greatest football moments are when a last minute winner/equaliser goes in, whether you're playing or watching. Imagine missing Leo's winner v Norwich or the Walsh and Claridge Wembley ones. Villa Park , when we came back for a 4-4 and giving Little( I do like him now) a load of stick , whilst he walked to the tunnel, was priceless πŸ˜†πŸ¦ŠπŸ’™
  23. If the Arsenal game gets moved to 8pm , won't that cause a problem with the trains as I sure the last one south is about 10pm? Just checked , for me to get back to Bedford, it's 21:14. Hopefully I'll get booed when it leave early πŸ˜†
  24. He's the dog's
