  1. Went on a stag a few years back with a group of 40 ish and stayed at the Travelodge in Quayside. Everyone drinking on the way up from Bedford, but one bloke got properly blotto by the time we arrived. We went to a pub around the corner, which was great, but after about 1 hour he was so wasted , he decided to go back to the hotel. Instead of walking the 100 yards , he jumped in a taxi to take him back , but the driver thought it must be the Travelodge in Gateshead, so took him there. His key card worked on the same room number as the Quayside one, so he went to bed. About 6 hours later , 2 blokes walked into his room and started shouting at him to get the f out of their room , and he responded in the same way. It was like a scene from Goldilocks and the 3 bears at 3 in the morning and security was called to sort it out๐Ÿ˜„ Another cab was called and he got back to our one in a bit of a state๐Ÿ˜† Great weekend in a fantastic city though๐Ÿบ๐Ÿบ ๐Ÿ‘
  2. We could have a Rumble in Amble๐Ÿ˜„
  3. Nice one. Will defo go to the Quayside wetherspoons on Saturday, as its really nice. Probably go for a couple in the Strawberry on Sunday when it'll be quieter, as its a nice pub with lots of footy memorabilia. But mainly , I'll go where daughter suggests and I bet I'll be paying ๐Ÿ˜„
  4. Going up for this for my birthday weekend and visiting my daughter who's at Newcastle Uni. Would love to be in smug mode after, whilst out in the Toon but doubt it. You never know though and it's always a great night out anyway ๐ŸฆŠ๐Ÿคž๐Ÿคž
  5. Watching the end of Leeds v Boro Leeds 3-1 up , 97th minute, the grounds still full. Hate them , but fair play to them ๐Ÿ‘
  6. Did you leave before the end?
  7. Fair play๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘ Although some of the gigs I've been too have been lively, they're probably not that level๐Ÿ˜„
  8. What band have you been to see that finish with a shit song? ( just interested) I've been to see The Charlatans loads of times and they always finish with Sproston Green , which is worth the entry on its own. Although I agree as my knees and ankles are always fooked for a good few days after, as I never learn๐Ÿ˜„๐Ÿ˜„
  9. I agree it's peoples choice, but I can't understand why they would take the effort to attend, then miss 10-15 minutes. Most of the greatest football moments are when a last minute winner/equaliser goes in, whether you're playing or watching. Imagine missing Leo's winner v Norwich or the Walsh and Claridge Wembley ones. Villa Park , when we came back for a 4-4 and giving Little( I do like him now) a load of stick , whilst he walked to the tunnel, was priceless ๐Ÿ˜†๐ŸฆŠ๐Ÿ’™
  10. If the Arsenal game gets moved to 8pm , won't that cause a problem with the trains as I sure the last one south is about 10pm? Just checked , for me to get back to Bedford, it's 21:14. Hopefully I'll get booed when it leave early ๐Ÿ˜†
  11. He's the dog's
  12. He needs to get the team to work far harder than they're currently doing. Mavididi is a prime example of someone that comes on as a sub , loses possession, then gently jogs after the player that's mugged him. If he worked as hard as Vardy and Facundo, he'd be a far better player , and we're going to need him
  13. If he's anything like Advocaat then if things start well , it could snowball from there
  14. I think the Potter issue is the money still owed to him by Chelsea. He'd have to lose a big chunk of cash to rip up that contract or we'd have to make up that shortfall. Let Chelsea keep on paying him, the cnuts๐Ÿ˜†
  15. Always had RL on the way home until we lost the signal on my dad's car around Market Harborough/ Kettering area in the day. Thanks Nev , you were great ๐Ÿ’™
  16. I think they defended quite well after the initial newcastle attempts. Closed down well and moved the ball very well. Newcastle should have had a pen though
  17. Doubt it , with his Leeds connections
  18. Top away numbers on a Monday night as well from West Ham ๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿ‘
  19. No point in thinking West Ham could be a relegation rival. Will stay up easy
  20. So it's definitely not Moyes or Potter But it might be RVN or Carlos Is that about right?
  21. Totally agree with the Forest comments. If you do a good job , the rivalry is pretty soon forgotten about. Crikey, I'm even old enough to remember the abuse Speedie got after signing, but he soon won the Leicester fans over , with some great goals and committed performances
  22. Really not convinced about RVN Has a love affair with Utd and couldn't have wished for a better set of fixtures during his brief spell. Most people on here could have guided that Utd side to victory in the 2 homes games v Leicester. We were about as much use as a reggae band at a KKK dinner and dance
  23. Nature of the beast I was gutted when MON left as it was a fantastic era. A better opportunity comes up but that means they've done well at your club and the club is in a better place wether it's league position or value of the squad. I'd happily take a few years of what Brighton have had
  24. Who cares? There's levels throughout football and most managers and players want to test themselves at the best club they can.
  25. Like many, I want to see us have a go but still be steady at the back. Cooper did none of this, so I'm just delighted they've changed things whilst there's still time
