  1. That sounds great, please report back. Even though it is ages away
  2. I genuinely hadn't watched this before I made my post above. But yes, this. It's basic human compassion.

    The Weather

The weather here in southern Spain was just ridiculous yesterday. 38 degrees with the full on hairdryer feeling at 11pm, still 33 degrees at 2am. I'm hoping it was an anomaly and not summer arriving about 2 months early, otherwise the demand on electricity and water are going to be unprecedented over here this year. 38 again today, which we don't normally expect for another 6 weeks or so
  4. Above all else, Henry's parents' wishes need to be listened to. They have suffered an immeasurable tragedy, from which they will never recover. They have requested peace. Of course lessons need to be learned, but these vile people politicising it need to just educate themselves and not allow themselves to be sucked in by the likes of Farage and Yaxley-Lennon who are clearly adept at capitalising on horrific incidents like these for their own gain.
  5. We're off to Puerto Pollensa in Mallorca next week for a week with my husband's parents, brother, sister and their partners. Very much looking forward to it especially as it might be the last holiday all together as a family for his parents. Not looking forward to the flight on a prop plane from AlmerΓa to Palma though
  6. Are you going there on a cruise? You're very much a forward planner like me Our main holidays for 2027 are booked and I'm now planning 2028, so far looking at a Vietnam tour followed by the beach in Phu Quoc in March/April and then Perth in Australia in November. After that our only continent to visit would be Antarctica so I'm interested in your plan

  17. Thinking of a trip to Australia but avoiding the long flight time to Sydney so considering Perth. We'd have around 16 nights and thinking of staying in Fremantle and Margaret River, anyone been? I think @Jon the Hat might have some insight?
  18. It has always been the same. Similar to racism. Misogyny and racism abound whether we like it or not.

    The Weather

It's just common sense, no? If it's hotter outside than indoors why would you want to let the warmer air in? Here in Spain we have the doors and blinds closed all day in the summer, they are only opened first thing in the morning before the sun comes up and then not again until night time when it's cooled down enough that the air outside is cooler. If we want daylight we open the blinds but put the air-conditioning on
