We've done Brittany, lovely area but the weather can be a bit iffy, very similar to the south of the UK unsurprisingly! The Vendee which is a bit further south but better weather, the Loire valley which is inland but lovely scenery and great food, and my favourite was probably the south of France at Port Grimaud, it's like Venice and set along a series of canals, and just across the bay from St Tropez

What about Eurocamp? I've taken my children on some lovely holidays in France over the years with them. The accommodation can be anything from fairly basic to pretty luxury depending on the site and your budget, it's really not camping

We had a day in Abu Dhabi last year and we also preferred it to Dubai. Etihad do a stopover programme so we're flying with them to Singapore next year and making use of it, 2 nights paid for in Abu Dhabi in a choice of lovely hotels, so that might be something for you to look in to if you haven't already, obviously depending where you're going in the future

I'm currently planning our excursions for our Caribbean and central America cruise in November, thankfully we leave from the Dom Rep so we don't touch the States. We have Panama and Colombia in our itinerary too, Panama we're going to book the canal excursion with the ship for once, and Colombia we dock in Cartagena so we're hoping it's relatively safe and we can do our own thing. I'm more worried about Belize tbh But looking forward to it all nonetheless

You don't think we have places like that here? We literally have an English place called The Pie Shop where I live, and Iceland in the next town sell Greggs from the freezer. There aren't going to be any tannoys at the mosque either from what I understand so there won't be a 5am call to prayer.

The same community who will be using the new mosque were already using the community centre on the Monsell. The pub has been empty for ages but has now been given a new lease of life by people who will actually use the building, I'm not sure what the problem is with it. Not sure exactly what you mean by 'the city is lost' either, last time I checked it was definitely still there

My maternal grandfather served in WWII but would never talk about it, the only thing I do know is that he was taken prisoner by the Japanese and forced to work on the railway they were building, and absolutely refused to buy anything he thought was made in Japan for the rest of his life.
