  1. The fans who want Cifientes out will be the same people that insisted Van Nistelrooy was an upgrade on Cooper. Cifientes isn’t perfect but changing the manager yet again is ridiculous and there’s no-one better out there who would join us anyway.
  2. Unlucky haters
  3. The classic ‘you can only compare the games against the same teams’ nonsense . Which obviously avoids the weeks and weeks of no goals and terrible records set by RvN that will never be broken. RvN managed against Newcastle twice. 7-0 aggregate defeat. RvN managed against Wolves twice. 6-0 aggregate defeat. Brentford at home 4-0 defeat. Cooper lost one league game in 12 by a 3-0 score line and we scored in every single other league game under him. By your logic, Plymouth had a better season than Liverpool. You can’t compare any of their results as they played against different teams. But Plymouth beat Liverpool in the cup so they must be better. Nonsense.
  4. Ruud gifted Wolves six of those points. We were far from relegated when he took over.
  5. The club has been poorly run recently. I agree with everyone on that. However, on the communication piece what is everybody expecting them to do? Release a post on X saying: LCFC can confirm that Ruud Van Nistlerooy will be sacked on the 1st July. We can’t do it before because that will put us at risk of breaching PSR again. It is a sad state of affairs that financial mismanagement has put us in this place, but surely on the communication piece they have to stay quiet in this one?
  6. ‘There’s a great argument to say he’s up there with Taylor as the worst we’ve ever had’. The only manager in our 141 year history to win the FA Cup. Only manager in our history to achieve back-to-back European campaigns. It really is quite depressing that some fans have this mindset.
  7. How can anybody say the only manager to win the FA cup in the club’s entire history was not a good appointment?
  8. Yes - But he won’t be as shit as the worst manager in the club’s history. A traffic cone would be an upgrade on RvN so, even if Martin is shit, he will still be a significant improvement.
  9. Wow - That’s ten posts in ten minutes slagging off a manager who hasn’t been appointed yet. Are you Ruud Van Nistlerooy?

Just stats like points per game, goals scored, goals against etc.
  11. Taylor and RvN are definitely the worst two. RvN’s statistics will never been beaten, they are that awful, but granted Taylor inherited a successful team that had just finished eighth and was given a lot of cash. I agree that any manager would struggle with this lot, but Cooper (who a lot of people on here think was useless) far outperformed RvN in every stat going with the same squad of players, so the evidence is there that this season didn’t have to be so dreadful and the embarrassing records could have been avoided if we’d had anyone but Ruud (and Vardy would have comfortably hit 200 goals).
  12. 12 points in 23 games. Awful. And to those that keep quoting luck, you won’t see a luckier four points than the ones RvN got in his first two games. If you discount those first two games before he was able to fully implement his awful selection/tactics then it’s 8 points in the last 21 games. Worst manager in our history.
  13. I love this logic which I’ve seen a few times on here when fans try to argue that Ruud isn’t that much worse than Cooper. It means Plymouth had a better season than Liverpool. You can’t compare their results throughout the season as they were against different teams, but when they played each other in the cup, Plymouth won.
  14. Wow - Nine consecutive home defeats without a goal, a dreadful record that will never be broken by any team, and then as soon as we score against the team bottom of the league the ‘he’s better than Cooper brigade’ are back out.
