  1. I share that experience. Coming from that part of Leicestershire, I'll always see Derby as the main rival and still love to see them fail. The harder the better. 3-1 in the Cup 4th Round replay 2017 was the last competitive match, and apparently also beat them 3-1 in a friendly in July 2022. Last time they won was 12 years ago n the Championship. Someone has done a bit of Wiki editing and stealthily called them County Derby on there. I'm not responsible but wholeheartedly approve
  2. It's 1 Feb, 3pm. Sky website had it wrong before, they have since corrected it:
  3. Yes, but I'm not sure whether a 17-24 finish is unlikely - won't speculate on that as there are too many variables (Arsenal's results, and the results of others around them). Tue v Wed isn't based on the draw itself, it's more the factors cited by Krefelder: If you were using 'luck of the draw' as a figure of speech there, rather than referring to the actual draw, I'd say that a different figure of speech might've been more appropriate to avoid confusion: a 'flip of a coin'.
  4. You're right about the draw procedure notes, which state "In principle, the seeded clubs play the return leg matches at home". I was wrong to base my odds on the assumption that the order of home/away legs would be based on an open draw. The current CL table has Arsenal in 7th place. They're level on points with 9th at the moment, and are only 2 points above 17th. No idea which bracket they'll finish in based on this. So I'll withdraw my 75% number - it's more complicated than that, even before we try to figure out how likely a home Arsenal first leg against an unknown opponent is to be given a Tuesday date rather than a Wednesday. For me, broadcasters should be forced to have more respect for fans. They shouldn't be allowed to put a match with this much uncertainty into the Saturday early slot, as our KO time might not be known with any certainty as late as 1 Feb, 11 days before the match!
  5. If Arsenal are in the CL playoff round, there's a 75% chance that our game stays at 12:30pm: 50% chance Arsenal get drawn away for that leg. Then from there, it's a 50% chance their game gets put on the Wednesday, rather than the Tuesday. So only a 25% chance that we move to 8pm. Another wrinkle: If 'Same Old, Always Cheating' do get drawn away for that leg, we'll need to wait til CL TV fixtures get confirmed to know which date their CL game is on (won't be immediately after the draw, but would expect this by the 1st of Feb)

Note the PL are calling these announcement dates provisional.
  12. From EFL website https://www.efl.com/how-to-watch/upcoming-tv-games/: “In order to assist supporters with their plans around fixtures selected for broadcast, the EFL and broadcast partners Sky Sports have agreed to a minimum five-week commitment for the announcement of games for TV coverage. The five week commitment is shortened to four weeks’ public notice from March and the notice period remains at three weeks for the penultimate weekend of the season. TV selections for the final day of the season will be released a week prior. 14. Please could you share your question and the club's reply? It might help me to decide whether to book a £6 left luggage spot near the station for my roughly 2xA4 sized bag, or if it sounds like they're not actually enforcing it I'll just bring it with. Long train journey down from York, so reading material is pretty essential
  15. If only one of them had been holding a ketchup packet against their shirt during the celebrations, we'd know for sure. Poor form from the club if you ask me
  16. No idea, never seen a genuine maroon kit in the flesh. Perhaps someone involved with Union FS could comment?
  17. Here's a couple of photos of a jersey777 XL, compared to a XL 2019/20 home shirt I bought from the club shop. Main issue is sizing - as you can see it's probably a size smaller than the real deal (and I haven't washed it yet). Colour looks a bit alarming on the photos but is fine in real life. Have included a ketchup packet and folded over the Union FS tee on the print of Youri's shirt for a bit of reassurance. I don't normally get player names or numbers on the back (*shudder* Dennis Wise taught me a lesson there), these ones are solid so could cause sweating issues. As I say though, not sure if that's normally a problem or not. Aside from the typo in the neckline which can't be seen when the shirt is being worn, (adias?) I'd say it looks fine and the material, while not as breathable as the real 19/20 one, is fine too
  18. https://www.leicestermercury.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/leicester-city-said-been-odds-4593956 By reading the article I learned 2 things: 1. The Leicester Mercury have a Nottingham Forest correspondent (!) 2. For some reason, the Mercury's Forest correspondent is writing articles about the Premier League broadcast situation Strange times!
  19. The ball is Fofana's, F-O-F-A-N-A-S The ball is Fofana's, F-O-F-A-N-A-S 'Cause he's Leicester's centre back, whoa! He's Leicester's centre back, whoa!
  20. At the start of the season, the PL's site summarised the new rule: "Premier League players will be allowed extra leeway when it comes to ricocheted handballs. It is often impossible to avoid contact with the ball if it has deflected off the body of an opponent, team-mate, or even another part of the own player. So a handball will not be awarded if the ball touches a player’s hand/arm directly from their own head/body/foot or the head/body/foot of another player who is close/nearby." Source: https://www.premierleague.com/news/1263332 So was the Norwich player not close/nearby?
  21. You're not wrong there
