  1. More like this please.
  2. Let that start your engine for the run in Patson!!
  3. It's good to get a clear look at where we are in terms of player quality and tactics against good-average PL competition. If we go up, we will have to be capable of taking points off sides like this in order to stay up. To no fan's surprise, we are a long way short. Eyes need to open in the front office to the size of the task, and the large number of positions we need to improve. And Enzo's eyes need to open to the obvious fact that holding to a philosophy does not mean playing exactly the same way every time, without considering how your players match up to their opponents. So I hope this result is made useful. Nobody but Man City or Liverpool is going to win this Cup anyway.
  4. I'd put Ndidi back in bubble wrap. He hasn't come close to playing 90' since back from injury, let him rest.
  5. Faes trying to head the ball in is like using a cotton swab to hammer a nail in.
  6. Dribbling it at 2 mph to tuck in behind the keeper's lunge. The new panenka?
  7. Good to see KdH back on his game.
  8. a preview of Vesty back in the PL
  9. Haven't had my morning cup in this for a while. Coffee doesn't taste any different, but it may bring some luck?
  10. Pretty near our strongest outfield lineup available. The next ****er who moans about Enzo can get, and stay, in the bin.
  11. Guess I'm overdue to stop thinking of him as one of ours. Especially if he keeps Forest up.
  12. @The Bear
  13. Tell him we miss the way Puel cleared out the deadwood like a right b*****d. On second thought, just tell him hello and that his contributions are missed.
  14. You have to wonder if it is bound to backfire. The PL refs know Clattenburg well as a mediocre ex-colleague. And especially as a self-aggrandizing b**** who chased the money in Saudi, published an autobiography, and went on ESPN to critique their work to a huge audience in real time. Now he's grabbing a few more pounds critiquing them directly to their bosses and in the media. His whole career is to make a mockery of their code of omerta. Could a conscious or subconscious desire to lift a middle finger to him and/or his new job shade marginal calls? If intimidation is Marinakis’ intent, he’s screwed up yet again.
  15. With apologies for perhaps not being the best person for the job, I invite everyone so inclined to wish @fuchsntf a happy 70th birthday below. From his recent posts, one realizes this is a milestone he’s gone through a lot, and beaten long odds, to reach. Congratulations, mein herr ... and stay engaged. You have a unique, optimistic, Fox-for-life viewpoint. (Knowing a little more now, I truly wish I'd been more tolerant about how you express it.) If my guess is correct that FT is part of the “medicine” that keeps you rolling, that’s an accomplishment for @Mark and the forum that engagement stats can’t measure.
  16. Panic has set in among the element of the fanbase that is predisposed to panic. I believe the silent majority are concerned, not panicking. There’s no denying the negative trends: more errors in defending and finishing, and a mentality seen in past collapses. But nor denying that we sit top for a reason. We’ve got a well timed break with time for players to rest, Enzo to coach, and key players due back. That’s also time for Enzo to show whether he’s a rigid ideologue who will only play a narrowly defined system with players too fatigued to minimize its high inherent risk, with only the overused subset of players who fit it best. For me more specifically, he can pull Faes for Coady. That will shore up the mentality. A returned Ndidi and Ricardo and a rejuvenated KdH can advance the ball through the middle, without the need for buccaneering by a 4 who lives to slash forward as an 8 but has never learned the positioning basic to his job.
  17. Roughly a goal contribution every 90' when the dwarf played him. Roughly a goal contribution every 90' for West Brom. Who could possibly have seen this coming?
  18. So much of finishing is in the mind. And finishing has become a problem for us, and a huge problem for Daka. Vardy needs to get most of the minutes at this point.
  19. Remember when the surest way to gain head coaching experience was coming up through the leagues, rather than becoming assistant manager at Watford?
  20. Not the worst away point. Thank you GOAT.
