My post read wrong, it should say that I can only sell on my ST 4 more times via LCFC official exchange. Certainly not a tout, just using LCFC ticket site to hand it back to the club so they re-sell. I regret buying my season ticket, had it since 1998, and it will be the last season.
-
Same here! I’ve already lost interest in going this season, I popped my ticket on the official exchange on Saturday and went non-league instead. Only downside is that’s 4 of my 5 official allowances to sell officially gone already!

That’s great you made the trip, as these clubs appreciate your support so much more. Yeah Brackley averaged 800 last year but a typical game with minimal away fans would be 600. On a side note I know Wednesfield well as I used to race for Leicester Monarchs Cycle Speedway team and they were one of our rivals!

Went to Brackley v Scunthorpe this afternoon… 0-3 thumping for Brackley which is quite unusual especially at home. Second best for most of the game, great opening crowd of almost 1200 with half of that from Scunny!

I’m not voting anymore and I’m guessing a substantially large percentage of people will not bother too. I did vote in the poll above and hit ‘other’ as it nearly represented my view! It just appears to be more bread + circus, and tbh I had forgotten about the general election until I wandered into the general chat thread this morning. I used to vote, I used to believe in this system but not any more. I feel sad to see how we really have nobody representing us. Not one politician represents us if we’re honest. All I can see as a political outsider is the Tories deliberately threw their vote to allow labour in. Then the media steer the herd to get labour in. I guess when Labour get in there will be a few small crumbs thrown out to the masses before the continuation of the real policy gets carried out. If I look at this with different eyes I guess they need Labour in to get the next stage of stricter policy through. It will land easier with Labour delivering it instead of Tories. For those voting, have a great day, then back to work for more of the same!

Kevin Campbell In Hospital “Seriously Ill”

Very sad to hear this, so young too. He was a real bright light in 1989 for the City. A bad day all round with the Millwall GK dying today too -
Back from Brackley NLN play-off final, that’s another play off loss for us! Congrats to Boston United for returning to the NL. Over 3000 in and almost max capacity with 900 very happy away fans. If we had won today I’d have been happy but losing is no issue as I enjoy NL North
-
Just back from Brackley game with a super 1-0 Brackley win, 1880 crowd in today with 300 away fans. Super old fashioned afternoon, hard fought match with 22 players squaring up at the end to top it all off. Roll on next Saturday for the final v Boston!

It doesn’t look so bad from the pictures I can see, from my perspective we should appreciate these smaller clubs/grounds or all we’ll end up with is a small collection of soulless grounds like the KP. Thankfully we’re not like the woeful pyramid structure in France and have such a wealth of clubs. I’ve been to 14 games at Brackley this year, and the ground when it’s not too full or not segregated is very good with super facilities. I think when teams bring big followings and it gets segregated lots of new challenges affect the club as its average crowd pre-2020 was c400 but now we regularly see double that and on occasion 1700+ turn up Anyhow I’m off to hopefully watch a match with no rain as one thing the soulless grounds have is very good shelter! We can’t win them all! Edit: Sorry replying to comment about Solihull ground but my phone isn’t doing too well and failed again!

It’s Brackley v Chorley for me tomorrow in the Play Off Semi Final, winners host Boston at home next Sunday.

It is a shame to see the fanbase divided on all issues these days, I'm all for just enjoying the moment rather than getting too concerned over the future (or too stuck in the past) I don't enjoy the wider match day experience one little bit these days but once the game starts we can ignore any club led nonsense I think we're lucky to have Enzo, he has papered over the cracks ravine that can re-appear very easily and in rapid fashion. even as quickly as next season and then we'd have something to moan about! I actually thought we would threaten the exit out of the Championship downwards rather than upwards before the season started but I was very wrong on that. I don't think the league is any worse or an better but we have new lens on it now after the past ten years and we only have to look at fallen clubs slowly rotting away (Sheff W, Blackburn etc) to realise we fell lucky with Enzo

100% agree, I was at Brackley Town’s magnificent 2-0 win over Scunthorpe United this afternoon To think they were in the Championship ten years or so ago and now they’re in the National League North is some fall from grace. Scunny looked like they were going to dominate the game from the off but it soon settled and Brackley scored a couple of quick goals after the break. My wife is from the Greater Scunthorpe region so I do wish them success. A few other big teams in our league too like Hereford, Chester, Darlington etc £15 to get in is fair but not overly cheap nor expensive, £4 a pint and an attendance of 1008 with 250 Scunny fans included in that figure. Parking gets a little tight for crowds of 1000+ but for 650 crowds which is the norm for typical games it leaves no issues at all. Hope you enjoyed your game? I grew up in Shepshed so look out for their results occasionally. My enjoyment in football was re-kindled in 2020 when I went to my first game at Brackley and enjoy it so much more than heading home to Leicester games now.
-
Oh definitely, I'm really enjoying football again after going to watch the non-league. I started to lose loads of interest in 2019 in the PL and then in between the lockdowns when matches started up again I promised I'd show some support for a local non-league club. I tried Banbury at first but didn't like it there, and when Brackley opened we went to to watch them play Blyth Spartans - we loved it, and we were very impressed by the professional nature of the set-up and the football was much better standard than I expected. The club is so friendly, the fanbase has all ages going and the more local nature was much more appealing now I live down this way. I still go back to a few LCFC matches but I struggle to get excited by the corporate feeling the club emits now. It's a super point about the mentality of non-league personalities and what it means to players. I know an ex-player that is a senior manager in my work and he played for Kettering, Nuneaton, St. Albans for a long time. His stories about when he played for Gazza are worth listening to. It certainly suits a person to play part time at National League North/South levels as working FT and then playing PT is actually a wonderful thing to do. But it's not easy for all as I was speaking to a young player's Dad last week and he's struggling since leaving league 2 football and going part-time. Another work colleague of mine has a younger brother that played for Reading U21 and most recently with Aldershot, but now has no club so it's not all a bed of roses. Perhaps it suits the player born to play non-league with a job more than the player that falls out of a big club's youth team and heads slowly down the leagues. What I love about non-league is there are 100s of clubs to learn about and now visit - I read further up this thread about Coalville supporters going to Bath and I'm actually envious of anyone going, it sounds like a superb trip. Each time we pay to go and watch a non-league team we know we're doing much more to help them survive/thrive etc.
-
Yeah I watch Danny Newton at Brackley Town, reminds me a lot of Vardy. He was in his camp and is a wiry striker. Scored some super goals this year including a lovely one against Scunthorpe in the FA Cup
-
That’s a great effort from the Dynamo Dresden fan watching two teams with Dynamo in their name too! When I come home one weekend I need to get to a local game either Loughborough or Shepshed. The last Shepshed game I watched was probably 35 years ago as a kid, they beat Derby in a preseason friendly by quite some margin I remember!
-
Hope the game was good, I'm from Shepshed but now live in West Northants. Just like you I went to watch the non-league today and it was the local derby between Brackley v Banbury this afternoon instead of Leicester. Great trip out as always, 3-1 Brackley and 1441 in attendance doubled the average crowd this season. Some great end to end football and a pretty decent atmosphere too
-
The bigger sized clubs have contributed to this situation massively. The average age of the PL fan must be quite high now as they’re locked into their seats. I’d guess SK2 where I sit is an average age of 55 minimum. It’s too comfy now once you’ve had a ST. For the Plymouth game a young lad (13 probably) was properly getting into the game cheering the team on. It needs more youth coming through the supporters ranks but they’re effectively blocked from going. I watch more non-league now and enjoy making my decision whether to go closer to the game. It’s a much more mixed age group with more youngsters watching.
-
I was thinking exactly the same that the songs are more complex, less spontaneous and actually hard to remember. Even when we’re in the ground you can’t tell what is being sung. It certainly doesn’t help that the crowd is getting older as nobody relinquishes their life long seats which leaves very little room to allow new/younger fans in. Tbh I think most big clubs have similar issues and it’s not just LCFC
-
I was hoping to be there in the away end with the 7 Brackley fans but plans changed sadly I did watch them play Spennymoor today, 3-1 win with close to 700 in

Morning All - I turn up here in peace as I really do care about my fellow human beings especially Leicester fans! We may need to consider illness is not what we're told Consider what we put in our body on a daily basis and that it needs to come out - I'm talking about the toxins, chemicals, heavy metals you find in food, water, air etc Then take into account your own state of being often affected by the change in season It's a common time for your body to naturally detox as much as it can and that comes out in multiple forms that may look like the common cold, the flu, anything really. Our mind plays a role too, whether it be stress or a weakness in what we perceive to be true. I've mentioned before, we'd be better off ignoring the news especially on popular items. I'm not here trying to deflect this thread nor belittle the fact that people are ill, it's a horrible process and most get through it as we know but for those weaker or older it's a terrible time and can be devastating. We owe it to ourselves to understand ourselves better but this comes from within, and not from without - we all have the answers and it's not in the news. 'Everything popular is wrong" is a good place to start
-
It’s looking likely we might well get more points on the road this season as teams open up more in their home fixture. Tbh I’ve enjoyed the positivity in what I’ve seen in my two home games of Hull + Bristol City far more than the past two seasons even though both games were hard.
-
I went to watch Brackley beat Scunny 3-1 last night in the FA Cup and what a game! Some terrific football, a superb goal from Danny Newton and just a great night out. it always helps when the home team attack down the hill against a ten man side looking unfit I’d also say! As always it’s a pleasure watching football at different levels.
-
IMHO We’d be better off ignoring the news all together Trouble is there’s some truth and real stories at a local level but the national news is getting more absurd by the day. I think it’s less about the world going mad but more about the pitiful stories being made up. I imagine 99% of journalists are no more than content editors now rehashing info from a central database. Old Shakey did say the world is a stage after all! That’s William, not Craig BTW!
-
Some of the size changes are shocking! The Hartleys jam is laughable - they reduced the jar size and left the old sized lid on it making it look the most obvious item that has shrunk down! It looks so stupid like a tiny man with a giant head! BTW I'm only 5' 7" so know about these things!
-
They're always terrible out of focus shots too! So we'll soon be presented with crystal clear cameras in stores (they're already in major ones yet to be used) that can ID you by your eyes/face structure etc and will be able to deduct money from your bank account with 100% accuracy but the press seem to have worse than polaroid cameras these days! Hmmm... yeah of course those photos are genuine! I can't say this for sure, but I'd imagine all of the so called trusted press take their information/articles from a central database and they just churn it with a slight left or slight right bias and then for those that disagree they give people a new net to find, being the alternative press that is most likely just at the end of the corridor of BBC/ITV etc! I jest a little but I'd say I'm close on this. I'm just back from Rhodes, there is no doubt they had some fires in some parts (I saw one hill only that was charred in the South near Lindos). but the real cause was not what was told. Plus the fires were mainly put out within 24 hours which contradicts the trusted press again - I read a headline just a week ago how it was still wrong for people to visit Rhodes (the Guardian of course) and what is wrong with these people doing such a macabre thing! The island was beautiful, people so friendly and they want you there as there economy has been wrecked since 2001. Sadly I got back home and people would not believe me when I said it was normal and absolutely beautiful as ever, they wanted me to say it was a disaster with charred bodies in the street I'm sure! Gosh we live under a spell book don't we!
