  1. Yeh that’s theory, not seeing any of that playing out in reality. Two full scale wars underway. Frequent NK nuclear tests and china flirting with Taiwan. No American influence at all, burger man won’t make a difference to that. Militarily mute. Huge global, inflation driven crisis they could do nothing about. Economically mute. They did not lead the response during or post covid. Trump is a simple bozo, but to think he’s gonna be anymore dangerous to the world than the current situation we’re in seems incredibly hyperbolic
  2. Yeh this is probably about right. He will get in, absolve himself of all his criminal liabilities, then eat burgers and blame the woke state for his agenda badly failing. America isn’t an influential world superpower anymore, we’re in the midst of two wars and they’re standing by doing nothing. They no longer have the sway to make it break global accords
  3. Haha that’s it! I think he was actually aiming for one of the dignitaries (bald bloke in yellow tie) who ended up with two cuts on his forehead and a tooth bleeding. But it was surreal as he appeared to be pointing right at me then launched at me through the netting
  4. I went today. Couldn’t really see any of the match. After the penalty the player celebrated exactly where we were standing and knocked my full pint over me through the netting. Grabbed his face in the quasi-mosh pit that developed. All quite bizarre
  5. Is your ‘buddy’ sharing? I’m in
  6. Loads of varied cask at the castle in Leicester
  7. Hahah, I’m going away next month and haven’t really done anything apart from book football tickets. I was gonna do it this weekend but your original post shamed me into leaving it for another weekend or so!
  8. A material percentage of western society will always be worried about paying next month's rent and bills, that's how our economy works. The savings ratio has been in a 9% banding from 1955 to the present day, taking out a huge increase during covid and a large downswing in 1958 for some reason. We've gone through multiple economic cycles since then. If you give westerners more money they'll gas it up on pointless sh1t, that hypothesis has been proven loads
  9. Fair play, we got a damn good deal
  10. Bloody hell and I thought I planned holidays late! It's 11 October today!!!! Good luck, I bet you will get some last minute bargains. Better to let all the stressers and panickers who plan holidays like 9 months in advance to pay the high rates and you scoop up late availability bargains. I hope you do.
  11. Congrats Sir, impressive work. Catching a piranha with a size 32 hook on a dinghy
  12. Lol I can guess where your signature has come from, getting banned by responding to the fish hooks!!
  13. Yeh that’s true. It was mentally complex when I worked in DC
  14. In this case I totally agree because the alternative is Donald trump. Like, actually, Donald trump… But otherwise it’s a joke. These people are leaders, their job is to represent the state on the international arena, motivate their administrators to carry out their policy agenda and connect with their citizens. Lyin’ Kamala and crooked Joe woefully fail in that for me.
  15. $23,800 pa. So about £17,500. that sounds very reasonable to me. What do you expect health care to cost? Without doing any maths I bet we fund the nhs to the tune of about £10k pp pa and our staff are disgustingly underpaid and facilities shot to pieces
  16. Good point. She appears devoid of any inspiration, personality or leadership abilities. It’s like she’s running for a council position in north Darlington. She seems like sunak, a competent administrator but a long way from being a commander in chief . She’s doing the right thing by avoiding live broadcast. Her campaign has to headline on ‘I’m not a criminal and I’ll protect your gun rights’
  17. Mike rogers is brilliantly funny. Like a hybrid remix of Elon musk and trump. He seemed deranged at the Saginaw rally. Have you ever been to a trump rally? I would love to go to one
  18. Free entry on days 1, 2 and 4 as well. Not sure if the sub continent has ever had good crowds for test matches?
  19. Again, you’re not a pep, no one cares.
  20. Ofc it’s a non story but we’ve built this political system for ourselves from all the post covid rage at tory sleaze. They are going to relish their moment in opposition and getting their GOTCHA moments. Also no you don’t need to notify the press about your kp trip. I assume you aren’t a PEP, represent people or are in a position to be influenced. So no one’s puppet journalist is going to want dirt on you
  21. You’re getting older, simple as. You’re craving new experiences and ways to scratch the itch and have been there and done it all with lcfc. Literally all in the past decade for us. Again, some people are content with Tenerife every year for life, some people aren’t. Kids and teenagers won’t be feeling like you about lcfc.
  22. Who donated it to him
  23. Logically true. To someone that tries to go to loads of grounds, it's something fun, different and a change. LCFC will always be no.1 of course. I guess it's like me not understanding why people spend so much money going to Tenerife or Santorini or Palma or any of these godforsaken beach resorts year after year after year. Familiarity breeds contempt for people like me, others can't handle change and need a set routine. Fair enough.
  24. I wager they won't kick up a fuss and say 'what can I do' or atleast not put two and two together to realise doing what you can will ensure a short term quality of life decrease. The postman on here will attest to the hordes of landfill being ordered from Temu on a daily basis, I am sure. Remember we are part of the electorate that voted for Brexit. As it stands there are plenty of ways you can get involved, UK GOV frequently consult on climate issues, open to the general public. The US SEC consultation got 24,000 responses! Mostly saying 'we love oil baby woohooooo at a boy go get em sport!!!!!!!!!' and it is now going through the courts.
  25. I agree with all your points. But the whole mental health week and UFS flyer thing is a timely reminder to me that football is a welcome escape for many with mental problems. My old neighbour said his uncle is going through a period of anxiety, he goes to home games but sits mute and barely gets up even when we score! I realised he would be accused of all sorts on here but on the car journey back apparently is the only time he smiles in life, win lose or draw. Therefore do as you do. Your trips sound epic btw
