  1. Good week in Buenos Aires, lots to do. Friendly people, calm city but with a buzz of activity. Enjoyed it
  2. Sorry to hear that mate and best of luck to you with all of this. Keep your head up and I hope to keep reading about your travels with Nuneaton in the non league thread. I’ve googled a few places due to your posts on where you’ve been with boro, so I’m relying on you to continue pls
  3. Ohhhh ok understood. I thought you were saying they should be able to gift it free of any taxes.
  4. The people gaining the asset have paid for nothing with no money. They’ve gained an asset for free. If it were that easy to say ‘I’ve bought this asset with MY money which I’VE paid tax on I’d be selling many assets to many ‘dependants’ and not paying a penny of CGT on them. If the parents were really bothered, they’d sign over the land to their kids well before the 7 year anniversary and pay zero IHT
  5. Well no, which is similar with other land based assets. Housing being one. A £700k flat isn’t valued at its ability to generate profit. If farmers are that bothered they should sign over their land and hope to live 7 years. Or wrap up the land in a structure. Both of which prob easier steps than the incessant whining they are currently undertaking
  6. Current or future billionaires that you are willingly handing your info would be mad to ‘own’ anything. That’s what offshore trusts are for. If you’re bothered about influencing society, get involved in the democracy that you live in instead of wasting time on social media
  7. Hahaha mate cmon, you think you’re helping improve society by handing a billionaire your personal data and engaging in debate with people he hand picks for you…. If they shouldn’t exist, stop fuelling them. Very simple. You’re actively choosing to by hypocritical
  8. Surely only a matter of time before we designate Jack Dorsey as evil. I like reading @ozleicester posts and his colourful way of describing all billionaires as evil. Why then willingly hand an evil billionaire your money and the ability to play with all your personal data. Baffling
  9. Swapping one billionaire owned social media influencing toy for another.
  10. Gone through a lot of bad ones but the ones I use now for every matter are first class
  11. Stop using cheap suburban high st solicitors
  12. Yeh exactly. It’s plainly obvious he has no interest in Twitter reporting YoY profits according to US GAAP standards Lol
  13. Rich people don’t buy media outlets to turn an accounting profit. He’s influenced the US election to positively benefit his business interests, that means the acquisition has already paid off
  14. Yep, the education system doesn’t teach you how to deal with money. 25% of uk adults have less than £100 to their name. 33% live month to month and couldn’t afford a sudden one off bill like a broken boiler. At that point you’re not living, you’re just existing
  15. Would be barking mad if they had no mtg on the corporate structure that owned said house. Debt is a great tax offset if your wealth is tied up in assets. Best off living off of loans rather than income
  16. Most of our matchday fans don’t want to use transferable phone tickets. I doubt they’ve seen a commercially agreed post on a social media site. I’d say the club are detached from the core fanbase by using technology at all
  17. Yeh true re fifa. Just wonder when the tipping point comes when FIFA and uefa are making so much out of the club game that they sacrifice international football for more club matches. Surely not too far away if FIFA make a bucketload from the world club cup in 2025. I’m sure many fans look forward to internationals and I don’t think they’ll ever stop, but be treated like the cups, reserve team player tournaments
  18. You’d think eventually the money in European club competition will far outweigh the money in these pointless nation league tournaments, and clubs will be empowered to send reserve players to international duty. Likewise sending sh1t players to the World Cup and euros whilst the first team plays in the world club cup in Oman. Matter of time surely, even with a 48 team World Cup the $$ still don’t add up to taking international football seriously
  19. Given we’re prob all in the richest 0.001% of people that have ever lived, and how us westerners live these days, yes I’d agree it’s the root of all evil. Press a button and a child in China will make whatever plastic junk landfill product you desire, delivered to your door.
  20. Which visits
  21. Hangovers mainly sh1tty chemical ridden beer for me. Had 15-18 of the best Helles lager in the world in Munich during the euros and woke up the next day fresher than the day I was born
  22. The person that does the tactical analysis on this site is brilliant. Social media being used for good.
  23. Drink more water and don't mix as much. I am essentially hangover free from my 30s when I started consistently having tap water throughout a session and sticking to beer and whisky only. Having longer dos as well, could never afford all-dayers in my early 20s
  24. Would get in touch with this guy if you’re interested, world class at what they do and a decent bloke https://uk.linkedin.com/in/philip-scott-8b3bb1193
  25. Offering any odds?
