Yeh maybe I am reading too much into it. He tried to find the middle ground in abortion (which I guess Trump does try to do). He dodged J6 quite well, it's clear he thinks Trump lost, and said he'd work with Kamala if she wins. His branding was very un-Trump, it was a decent debate held by two people who appear to have the country's best interests at heart. I thought they were trying to pitch Vance as Trump-lite, which was not what it was yday. Maybe wrong but I can imagine NYC property developer of the year 1986 being p1ssed off at Vance today.

Well that was incredibly boring. I was hoping for another prime time American bake-off with both calling each other names, lying, cheating and launching personal attacks. Both were civil to each other and talked about boring things like policy and legislation. To think this was primetime US network TV?!!? Network TV is gone mate honestly, it's a shambles, it was way better in my day, ticket office shambles, it's a joke mate. Better in my day. Game's gone. It's gone mate. On a serious note, the rumoured 'rift' between Trump and Vance seems pretty apparent now. He seems so far off the Trump message. Can see that relationship ending in disaster before Nov 5. Walz comes across way better against an opponent than he does individually.

A week is a long time, Durres is v nice but it’s just a beach resort. You should defo go to Tirana, bus is less than a quid and even a taxi around £30/40 (in 2022). Lake orhid in Macedonia a decent day trip too

I’ve been to Stevenage. Very convenient with the big free car park opposite the ground and under tunnel walkway straight to the ground. Straight off the A1. Nice setup. The owner Phil Wallace has a home in jersey and uses the island to dodge his tax, the team have played a few pre season matches, and train here.

You gotta wonder why political parties don't hire competent marketing and communications bods, or just normal people tbf. All this looks terribly bad on Starmer. As a voter, I agree with his policies of making the hard choices now and the softer things like cutting the winter fuel payments and a bigger push on getting people off benefits and into work. Would hope others are too, but in a world where Labour made foul about every example of Tory sleaze, it probably isn't the case

People thinking JSO have any role to play, positive or negative, in climate change. Whilst ignoring the Finch ruling going to court in a month or so now. probably due to the dumbing down of the world in general, which is the grind gearer.

This 'spontaneity' point always comes up but then gets blown out by a weekend of bangers. What about Justin's second goal on Sat was down to a system. Do get the point about players from previous periods being amazing if they played in this day and age due to the huge professionalisation of the game and all parts of their lives, but impossible to prove.

I’ve been a child for most of my existence. Doesn’t mean I should act like a child now (no jokes pls). Calling a spade a spade shouldn’t be frowned upon. The quality of football and the athletic ability of the players in the championship last season was utterly hideously appalling. That being said I saw chesterfield v Grimsby a few weekends ago which was great. Both teams attacking and kept it on the floor.

It’s a 300m+ population with disposable income who love sport. Of course every sport is going to want to invest there. Look at how well the premier league have invested there, and more recently f1. Empty crowds at this stage mean nothing. You have to put the hard miles in before you get a return

These threads appear every so often, the equivalent of Clare who's clocked 27.5 years rattling around a FTSE 250 or a local SME and constantly complains, moans and resists change. Clare, do yourself and everyone else a favour and get another job, move to another city, try something else! Just go away Clare! Much like Clare, football fans will not do that as they don't have the mental strength to make a change as they age. We'll see the next generation complaining about how TikTok threads and gaming 'just isn't the same anymore' as they cross the 30 threshold.

Ending up double booking so got 8 tickets instead of 4 for the old Trafford test next summer. Anyone interested in the spare 4?!? Won’t be sat next to my group Eng v India, Fri 25 July 2025, 4th test, day 3. Old Trafford 4 spare category 2 tickets. £90 each. -
You are legit obsessed with Leicester. Just let it go bro

2-0 win for jersey bulls, still unbeaten after 8 and looking good with the new manager and loads of youngsters. The ex-criminal and general thug striker bought back in from the cold is making a difference. Not sure how that ties in with their ‘family’ image but he’s a damn good player

They're targeting completely the right establishments to get media attention and try and launch their influencer careers.

Lol, not really what I was getting at. More the thought that anyone in 2024 could possibly think they’ve never had covid before, by putting so much faith and trust in a 2p piece of plastic from Shenzhen.
-
We as in royal we. Systemic we. National we. I think you know what I mean. I also know 6 people (3 of a family of 4) who died of covid.
-
The mental thing is you STILL hear people saying ‘oh no, just tested positive! My first time! Omg!! Managed to dodge it for years xoxo!!’ Bro - this thing had a R rate of over 3 at one point. Whatever a cheap, mass produced piece of Chinese plastic is telling you, you’ve had covid before
-
Yeh I thought it was a 1% death rate. Which by the way as an absolute number is still f’’’’’ing HUGE. But yeh covid certainly isn’t Ebola which is like a 50% mortality rate?! Mad. We only cared about covid because it irritated our lifestyles rather than those easy-to-forget Africans. Anyway funny to see @Paninistickers still winding up people and getting their personal anecdotes as hard evidence in response

Are you referring to climate change??? There's unlimited profit in climate change. Example one - we have a legally binding net zero target and a serious lack of battery storage options. If you can figure that out you will be a trillionaire. The stock line of no profit in climate change is proper pre 2015 fake news.

Would rather do that and die at 75 than bang on about polypholobolosites and half of the other sh1te spouted in this thread and die at 100. Read ultra processed people, it’ll make you badly want a burger. Jokes aside I do follow a lot of the preaching on here. But everything in moderation including moderation isn’t hard and should be followed
