  1. So, in the bottom half for number of corners. Interesting way to present a statistic
  2. I would be inclined to give Norman Leet a bell
  3. Packers were 17-0 down at start of the 4th quarter. Now leading 18-17 with 2:53 left
  4. JJ is no slouch with his left foot. Bursting through on left wing late on yesterday, and firing a pacey and accurate pass inside to Mavididi I think it was. Says a lot about him
  5. Managed to trade through to a no-lose position in the current stoke v hull game!
  6. Just finished 'Solaris' by Stanislaw Lem. Decent but unfulfilling ending. On to 'The Dispossessed' by Ursula K Le Guin
  7. I'm really hoping that Jordan Love is the new Aaron Rodgers, minus the bellend persona
  8. Go Pack Go!
  9. The grass on the other side of Green Bay isn't always greener! 🙂
  10. Ouch. Rodgers out for the season.
  11. What Djokovic is doing at the age of 36 is astounding. Surely the greatest tennis player that ever lived. In this day and age of elite athletes and sports science, he has applied himself superbly over the length of his career. Don't think he'll ever be surpassed, but Alcaraz at 20yrs old seems to have the tools to possibly challenge his record, if he applies himself correctly and of course manages to generally avoid injury
  12. Its gonna be fascinating to see how the Jets do with Rodgers at the helm
  13. Ahh ok. Will Lance start at Dallas? Prescott still there? I see Mayfield is with the Bucs, seems like alot of musical chairs has happened in the off season with QBs
  14. Is that Purdy at QB? What happened to Garropalo and the other star QB they had who was injured the whole of last season?
  15. I feel we should have a dedicated sci-fi/fantasy books thread - I know there is a 'What are you reading at the moment' thread, but most mentions on there are for books outside of the Sci-Fi genre. As a kid I got hooked on Ray Bradbury, and it's been mostly Sci-Fi for me since! As a boy growing up I remember being thrilled by Isaac Asimov's 'Foundation' series, Stephen Donaldson's 'The Chronicles of Thomas Covenant The Unbeliever' series, all of John Wyndham's books, and later on the bizarre books of Philip K Dick. Although Dune is by far my favourite fiction book of all time, a close second is a book that I recently finished - 'A Fire Upon The Deep' by Vernor Vinge. I wonder if anyone on FT has read it? It is an amazing and unique work of fiction, with the most fascinating aliens that I've ever come across. For the FT sci-fi/fantasy readers out there, what/who were your own early influences?
