We are well drilled in our movements, with the intents in our play, but today QPR we’re just as well drilled in when to press, who to press and where to close passing lanes, wilfully surrendering space where they felt no serious threat would exist. We were blunt, safe and predictable but this was exacerbated by how well setup QPR were.

Such a strange thing, Vesty was the one we miss the most. Bonkers really. He just exerts a level of calm on our game.

I would be putting him on the bench next game, that crap cannot be tolerated (despite his clear high ceiling) he broke a few attacks today with trying it again.

Was surprised that Coady was not drafted in for Jannik, as that seemed obvious, and this is no slight on Nelson, it’s just that a controller at the back seems to represent the best way for us at the moment. Looked flat.
