Not really - people are entrenched, they hate Vestergaard, for any reason, at every opportunity he is derided. Wout could improve his personna, but it just seems like he is not as thick skinned as Jannik, so not sure its in his armoury. The new Clean Slate thread is dripping with irony, as it full of people who do not believe they have any part to play in the cleaning of any slates. Which is quite sad really.

If I may slander him for a moment, he has a face that suggests he feels above playing for this club, especially now we are out of the top flight. But If you have a vocal portion of the crowd boo'ing you all the time, I have zero issues with his reaction, in fact I take way more offence at fans who cannot stomach his reaction. Buying a ticket does not buy you a pound of flesh....

People have hated the very idea of Vestergaard since the moment he arrived, or was even rumoured, there is no balance here. (Ayew being another formidable example.) Not young, not flash, did not come from fashionable club, came from a club we stuffed, these are all indelible marks. Clean slate should not mean sack everyone, and start again, it should mean everyone gets a new chance to impress.

He was not alone @StanSP and the moment he does something helpful and gives it back, fans are losing their minds. If we spend all our time booing, wtf do fans expect in that situation? He gave it back and I applaud him for it. You can never boo someone, you are booing everyone despite the intent. Changing our spots does not seem to be a strength of ours…..

He is useful as he can usually trap the ball and bring others into play, not something we have too many capable of doing, as our forwards are mostly about charging forward, except Monga.

Still fancy that problem will resolve itself.

Oh no issues with any of that, would be only too pleased to see him sold asap. However, also don’t get why anyone can be so offended by him giving it back to fans when have never backed him, in fact he is actively boo’d before he even steps on the pitch.
