What had Enzo, Pearson, O’Neil and Little achieved as managers before joining us?
-
I hope you’re right. I just have a feeling we’ll fvck this up.
-
If it’s true and I hope it’s not but we must be a right fvcking mess if we can’t pay 1m compensation for Rohl. He must feel really wanted by us if he’s having to quit to force a move.
-
I’m not saying who I think we’ll end up with if Rohl doesn’t come here……..
-
I’d find it funny if it’s announced and it’s released with - we can confirm Danny Rohl as the new Leicester City manager subject to EFL approval. 😂
-
I really can’t see a club even in the mess Sheffield Wednesday are in announcing tomorrow that Rohl is leaving and not only that but on the same day he’s announced Leicester manager. We’re never that quick at getting a new manager or player in. Not with these clowns. If and it’s a big if Rohl goes tomorrow I can see us announcing it Friday at the earliest.
-
I don’t know what you mean. Hassenhuttl.
-
This has all the hallmarks of last summer when it looked like Potter was all but done only for us to end up with Cooper. So it will be a case of when we announce Dyche or Wilder.
-
As much as I want him there is a part of me that accepts he could easily of been over hyped on here. Mainly because the alternative seems to be a dinosaur like Dyche. Genuine question if he was British would he be regarded in such high regard? I doubt it.
-
Obviously. But my point was for someone with a fair few seasons of premiership managerial experience for not to be in the running while someone else with no experience gets the job says an awful lot.
-
Says a lot about Dyche’s style of play that Brentford for example would rather go for someone with no previous managerial experience than him.
-
Any manager from abroad who hasn’t managed before in this country would take me off guard because we’ve never done it before. We should but we won’t.
-
Imagine if he turns us down to be assistant at Brentford. 😂
-
I’d rather have Rohl. But if not him I’d have Hassenhuttl. I want us to look abroad but that’s not gonna happen. He kept Southampton up for 2 seasons despite those 9 nil defeats and has a decent record around Europe. Not outstanding but we’re not gonna get that with where we are now. I like Hassenhuttl and would definitely have him over Dyche.
-
I think the Southampton obsession we seem to have and I think Rohl will turn us down. I’d be happy with Hassenhuttl. He’s readily available and has experience in this country.
-
That’s not true. Hassenhuttl.
-
Still don’t think it’ll be Rohl. I can see it being Hassenhuttl.
-
I get what you’re saying but there’s no evidence that will happen. I know he hasn’t been back at the club long but since King has returned it’s got worse not better. Not that I’m singling him out and expecting a huge improvement but it’s rare to see. I can’t think of many if any ex players going back to clubs as a manager or assistant manager and having success. Possibly Wilder at Sheffield Utd.
-
Not sure I agree with this theory that having ex players in coaching roles necessarily gets players and fans onside. Getting back to winning matches will get both onside. Not that I’m comparing us with Man Utd but how many ex players have they had there since Ferguson left in coaching roles? Ruud, Carrick, Butt and Ole as manager. It doesn’t guarantee success if anything it puts more pressure on those involved because of previous experiences playing for the club. Our most successful periods have been coaches and managers with no previous connections with the club.
-
I’d rather this situation than having Dyche.
-
Hassenhuttl as well.
-
His only experience of success is as a player not manager. Middlesborough has got worse every season under him.
-
Completely agree. Pointless question but who would you want from abroad? I know there’s zero chance of us looking abroad.
-
Who would you want if we don’t get Rohl?
-
It is a no brainer so I fully expect us to announce Dyche.
