  1. You’re not wrong in saying we need to be reserved and not expect the world straight away, but, this is definitely a good crop of young players. There’s a few who are all capable of playing first team football, and a few on the periphery.
  2. Likely to play some local minnows just to get some minutes at altitude I’d imagine. We look fit to be fair, which is the very least you expect to see at this stage!
  3. I do respectfully disagree. Evans is outperforming Saka when he was a youth player. He’s actually looking very promising to me, powerful, explosive, rapid and is a tidy footballer. He’s ready to be integrated into the team. Alves will be fine he’s overcome a horrific injury at his age, and he was impressive at Cardiff despite them being a poor team. Page looks about ready, and Aluko is a beast. I’d put both Aluko and Monga straight in, Monga is already probably the best winger on the league….. he’s just insanely good. Braybrook is unfortunately finished here, he needs to move on and rebuild his career elsewhere if he stays here he is in danger of being released into the abyss. Eventually I think Evans, Monga and Page will be playing every week. I think Alves will come good, he’s an extremely talented lad who’s been dealt a horrible stumbling block that he is fighting back from. A manager like Cifuentes will like him and develop his game. Our youth will save us this season, and save us a **** tonne of money.
  4. Despite all of the doom and gloom on here, the squad isn’t half bad. If we can ship off Faes, Vesty, Soumare, VK and Hermansen (as the big sale) I don’t think we need a massive amount. We could build a fairly strong spine, using Nelson, Winks/Ndidi and the Bilal. We will need a striker and probably a CB, ideally an experienced one to sit along side Nelson. But when you look at the squad, even like this it should probably piss the championship. It’s about attitude with this lot, is Cifuentes can get the right tune out of the lads then the squad is more than capable of walking the league. The likes of Ayew and BDR will find it a doddle, Skipp has proven he is more than capable at this level, and Bilal will easily be the best player in the league. Out of the youth, Aluko and Monga are ready. Page and Evans are ready to be integrated into the team, and Evans just needs a couple of goals to get his confidence going, but you can already see where he would be good, similar to Chilwell he would be able to drive us upfield, which is what Aluko was doing too. Im more positive about next season now, they look fit which is the main thing, we didn’t look fit last season and that’s always going to kill you. Kingy has done an alright job getting them ready… this is where Seagrave comes into its own now, we could be driven by our youth, this season… and isn’t that precisely why we’ve invested so much into Seagrave?
  5. He had played there a fair bit for the academy. Can play either side and is equally as strong in either side.
  6. Great band if you want to go to sleep. Boring as ****!
  7. We all make bad life choices!
  8. Aluko impresses me even more every time I see him. He will definitely be the starting left back by the end of the season.
  9. He was at Seagrave today.
  10. Our academy may well spare our blushes this season.
  11. I bet our history contradicts that?
  12. I sit here watching him play? Wondering how I never made it as a professional footballer.
  13. I know it’s been said many times. Daka is ****ing shit. I reckon I could have a better 20 minutes than him.
  14. We will keep them for as long as it makes us a lot of money.
  15. I think he will be quality at championship level to be fair.
  16. The manager is signing. we have a kit, but are working on a sponsor…..
  17. Can I just ask, who and what were these “totally uninspired” fans expecting, and hoping for?
  18. I just feel Frank has been allowed to build Brentford to how he wanted them to be, he moulded, ran and set that club up exactly how he wanted. This won’t happen at Spurs, he won’t be afforded the same kind of power. Frank is much more than just a coach, he’s just an incredible all rounder, and I just can’t see Levy and him seeing eye to eye. Spurs are similar to Chelsea, there’s no long term vision, they lurch from one season to the next just hoping that they improve. He’s definitely a much better coach than Ange, but I just can’t see the relationship between he and Levy lasting.
  19. Have you seen Iraola win percentage before Bournemouth? There’s little point measuring managers pasts and trying to predict their trajectory. I think Frank is going to bomb at Spurs, not because of his ability as a coach, but because of the fit of the club, I don’t think it suits him. Cifuentes plays in a way that the club went us to, he also has a group of players who are already used to this style of play. He’s actually done a good job with QPR, who are a basket case of a club themselves and he’s managed to navigate some tough times with them. He knows the league well, is forward thinking, and appears to develop youth players. Plus, he’s actually facilitated his own exit to come here, which for me is a good sign of his desire and want to be here. Dyche, O’Neil and Wilder would have been a disaster, they would have set us back, especially Dyche who would have disregarded the academy and would have likely centred everything around the likes of Coady, when he needs to be moved on. Cofuentes also is reported to be excellent at man management, which will be ideal as the group needs picking up. I personally think he’s a great option, I really rate him and I’m excited to see what he can do. Judge him once he’s actually had a chance to get stuck into the lads.
  20. “Marti Cifuentes, Marti Cifuentes, he ****ed off London to live in Braunstone, cuz we are ****ing massive”.
  21. MARTI CIFUENTES, MARTI CIFUENTES, HE EATS PAELLA, DRINKS ESTRELLA AND THINKS RUDKIN IS A BELLEND
  22. This is the part people are seeming failing to grasp. Some journalist says we need to sell to buy, and our squad is full…. Sooooooo…… yea, we do!
  23. Oh come on….. Alex Neil? He managed to get a properly shot QPR team playing some okay football, has kept them up and has promoted youth. He’s a damn site better than the likes of Alex Neil.
