How many points were Derby deducted?
-
-9 if the EFL can punish us, it would be far more significant than that…… I imagine a transfer embargo from the off, and enough points to relegate us. They want to destroy us, they have done ever since we won the league, and they probably won’t stop until they have…
-
To be fair, looking at how the PL’s efforts went, you’d imagine the same would happen to the EPL too…… I don’t think it’s even fair to go after a team that’s spent a full calendar year in either league…… just doesn’t seem fair to me.

Liverpool 3-1 LCFC, post match thread

Slept on it. Not feeling as sour today. Elements of the performance were alright, especially against the inevitable winners of this years premier league. On terms of selection I can get why he played Ayew, but other than the odd goal he’s offered nothing. He doesn’t press and he doesn’t offer much in the position he plays from a defensive aspect either… so he gets us the goal, but then doesn’t do anything else…. Ruud seems to want to play with this inverted winger, but Justin is desperate and it just isn’t working….. and if you’re playing an inverted winger would BDR potentially be a better option? But then again surely Buonanotte could play that role too? I just find that whole situation puzzling…… Anyway, recapping on last night after being hopelessly deflated, there probably was a glimpse of hope, we play with that kind of organisation V wolves we probably win the game and that’s the worst bit about that game…… There’s plenty more twists and turns to go, and we just need to get a string of results together. I think we’re on the same amount of points as Forest were at this stage last season, so despite the hopeless feeling, all is not lost. A couple of good signings in January and we could be okay. -
Ruud van Nistelrooy - New Manager - Official

One thing I will say, is that under Enzo we were decisive and got business done. I imagine Ruud will be very much the same in terms of knowing what he wants. Sons like to think business will move fairly quickly. -
We need to dip into the J league there’s some absolute belters there.

This is about the third thread we’ve had about this. Let’s just wait and see shall we.

We desperately miss Ndidi I think. The one major thing has been he seemed to revert back to his old self when Ruud came in. None of our current midfield can replicate what he can do. -

Wasn’t the hammering I was expecting, but it wasn’t good. I think we’re in a crisis without realising we are. There’s no confidence in this team at all, and any progression last season has been single handedly destroyed. Ruud doesn’t stand a chance frankly. The only positive was we blocked lots of shots to a satisfactory level, but other than that there wasn’t much to should about, we stood there and watched them score three goals fairly easily. The last two weeks have just pissed away any hope I had, we’ve the look of a club that knows it’s doomed. -
Nothing. It’s just been compounded by Wolves win….
-
Wolves win over United though is particularly bad. That’s going to do them the world of good.
-
Well, we were more awkward to play against. We just appear to be more open than we did under Cooper. Basically, we’re ****ing shit.
-
I’d say we are worse. At least Cooper made us a bit more difficult to beat, now we don’t score goals and are easy to beat.
-
A very damaging two weeks for us.
-
****ing diabolical defending again.
-
Get Daka off, bring Buonanotte on and play Ayew upfront.
-
Watching Daka play football still gives me hope I can have a career in the game.
-
We weren’t going to hold out. You still need a way to get the ball upfield and break the momentum of their play, and we weren’t doing that. You can’t just block shots for 90 minutes.
-
Turn this shite off now then.
-
Liverpools wonky lines coming out!
-
What the **** was Daka doing then.
-
Mavadidi backing out of every 50/50.
-
We’ve defended okay, in terms of blocks and last ditch tackles. But defending as a unit it hasn’t been that great. We need some form of outlet, you can’t just sit off for 90 minutes and hope you can block every shot. There needs to be an element of ball carrying and retention.
-
****ing standing off again.
-
We need to have some form of outlet here. Can’t defend like this for 90 minutes.
