  1. We’re more likely to sign ****ing Andre Ayew, and his dad.
  2. My favourite moments. I remember saying to my mate at the time, best player on the planet at the moment. The audacity to run over PVA like he’s some kind of child, round the keeper and a lot it in. Different levels z
  3. My number one target….
  4. This really is the end of an era isn’t it? Club on its arse and the GOAT, leaving…….
  5. With Villa, Wolves and WBA, I highly doubt they touch anywhere near 60k?
  6. He will go to Inter Miami.
  7. Agree. The door on this era of the club has been slammed shut and boarded up. It just feels like an end, well and truly.
  8. Shameful things how it ends, but, it’s fitting for our current predicament. The best. And one of the leagues best ever.
  9. A careful and competent boardroom would not have made the mistakes KP and co have made. Just take a look around the PL, yes there will be mistakes littered throughout, but no other PL team has self imploded like us, embarrassingly just take a look at Everton, who were until the takeover in utter turmoil, they still avoided relegation even with two points deductions. In terms of KP elevating us, yes they did, but to a %…. In terms of their contribution, financially they’ve obviously improved us, but as I’ve banged on about it before, and I’ll continue to bang on about it, the main contribution to our success was Nigel Pearson and the team of competent people he put around him, he was even brought back by KP after two failed bids under Sousa and Sven. Gradually over time, the club has been eroding, and erosion that between Puel (who oversaw some really good recruitment) and Brendan who was able to squeeze more out of the lemon, until he pretty much gave up after he lost faith in the project. The erosion then double timed following the loss of Vichai. The crooks are, King Power have contributed of course they have, but at one point they had an excellent team below them that facilitated success, gradually that’s gone, and has never been replaced. You can build the best building in the world, but if you start removing fundamental elements of the foundations and don’t replace them the building will collapse. King Powers financial backing has been supplemented by having competent people working around them, as that’s disappeared so has the club. King power won’t turn this around unless one of two things happen… 1 Top rebuilds the boardroom with competent football people. 2 Top sells the club. That’s it.
  10. Get walkers back on the shirts….
  11. Really? I can hardly think of many PL teams desperate to bring him in. Especially after his final season at Everton, which their fans say is the worst they’ve seen them for a long, long time.
  12. Come off it, he was. He was viewed as a leader….. it’s easy to sit here now and say it was a poor signing, because it hasn’t worked out….. could have been different.
  13. You’re never going to get everything right. On paper Coady was a good signing.
  14. I’ll give it a listen. I’ve often had an opinion that there’s more to Dyche than meets the eye. He’s not just an old school modern Big Sam, but he is victim to being type casted…..
  15. Coaching staff draw up a list and liaise with the recruitment department as to what player profiles they want, and sometimes add examples. Usually it’s identifies in shortfalls within the squad. The recruitment team go away a scout for those profiles, they then draw up a list of A, B and C. The coaching staff and Manager then look over the list and agree / make any amendments. The manager will then ultimately sign off on the players he wants off the lists. The list then goes to Top, who will sign that off, he will then pass it to John Rudkin who will negotiate the deals. It’s been the same for ages and it’s how it runs now. Cooper was given the brief of survival at all costs, so he placed emphasis on experienced players, with one stellar young signing. The best evidence of this working is Maresca, he was able to articulate exactly what he wanted, and we went and got it. Last year’s window was brilliant, and that exactly how it should and can work. What happens when it goes wrong is what happened under Cooper, but it wasn’t entirely his own fault because he was given a brief and worked off this brief. It’s a collective approach, but largely falls in the hands of the Manager, Coaching staff and scouts. And then to Rudkin to negotiate the deals.
  16. My biggest problem with Dyche isn’t so much his style of play, it’s he just runs out of steam. At Everton he completely lost the plot, Moyes comes in and completely renovated them, with the same team. I think he’s a better manager than some give him credit for, because he’s looked upon as the modern “Big Sam”, but that’s unfair because he did an excellent job with Burnley. He would probably do a good job given a chance, and he probably in all fairness take us up. It just depends what the blueprint of the club is going to be…. When Burnley were playing well touching Europe, I didn’t think they were anti football at times they looked pretty good….. I don’t know, Dyche is just a funny one for me, he’s been around for a while, but in terms of him here there’s a bit of an unknown about it….. is it a calculated appointment, or is it a lazy one? Thinking he will cope with what he’s got and the club hope he somehow makes it work?
  17. No one should be buying it, if BC Game or any other gambling sponsor is on the front.
  18. Rinse repeat. We will lose every game. Southampton will be interesting, because lose to them, and o think even the clappers will turn. Full on clone wars shit.
  19. We didn’t get much wrong in the last championship season, it was probably our best window for some time. But a lot of that was driven by Enzo. If we can get a manager with a similar mindset but as we said before a bit more tactically flexible… Theres no reason we can’t do it again, the major **** up was this season, but we were always up against it, and spent more time worrying about PSR than we did actually getting things right. The championship is ****ing dog shit, but it’s a good platform to get it right, because you can piss your way out of it provided you out the ground work in, even with a possible deduction, we could still with some good editions win it comfortably….. just need to get it right…… and there’s the challenge.
  20. Best you mean.
  21. Dyche is at his best when’s clubs on its arse and needs saving, backs to the wall style. He’s not the man to lead a mass overhaul and rebuild. Just look at some of the names linked so far, Carsley, Fabregas, Rohl and Brussel….. none of which are remotely like Dyche…….
  22. There’s a bunch of people applauding this rumour on that daft final whistle podcast. Why do these people who run these stations normally have such crap opinions?
