  1. Pot of gold wrong side of the post, damnit
  2. Daka goal in first 10 mins, you heard it here first
  3. You know what, I look at the teams left and I'm proud. Last 8 against a lot of the usual suspects, in the second tier? That in itself is a hell of an achievement, whether you believe we're in a false position this year or not. * Even better knowing how beatable Chelsea are right now. Bring it on. 🦊 * I'm going to just pretend Cov aren't there too, as mental as playing them in the semi at Wembley would be
  4. The complaints about King Power wiping away history are a bit odd, if by that you're referring to the mural around the awnings when it was the Walkers? It was falling to bits, totally life expired after 10 years exposed to the elements. Agree that more could be done but it was just as bland a place before Vichai and Top came along. Personally think the plain blue surround is better, less prone to wearing and smart but simple. If we want to reminisce there's ten minutes of montages on the screens before kickoff. If anything needs changing out it's some of the faded old seats - it looks like Cov in places now! Anyway, big game today so get behind the lads. 👍🦊
  5. Even earlier to get their selfie with Kasper before the crowds. For the 'gram. 💁‍♀️
  6. My main memory of Roma coming to our place was that instead of seeking out a local link for charlie, they necked hundreds of boxes of espresso beans and left the remains on the canal bank. Doesn't get much more Italian than that.
  7. Still got the buzz from this one, let's carry it into the weekend against QPR! Needs to be talked about more that we've broken an 11-year duck at their place with that win too. Though the ghost of Kevin Phillips won't be truly put to rest until we do it in the league next year. 👀
  8. What even is Man Utd's style? They're unbelievably poor. It feels like it's just 'get it to the wingers and run' but they're both crap so it doesn't really work. Amrabat is a meme of a player too.
  9. Forest vs Man Utd, two poor teams on this showing, we could do either of them annoyingly. This whole round has given me renewed hope that we're not as far off the standard of the top flight as we think. A few additions and we'll be fine.
  10. Safe journey home to everyone who travelled! Haven't seen him mentioned yet and can't be arsed to trawl through the match thread, but Marcal had an excellent game I thought. Very lively and by far the most confident I've seen him look in the shirt. ❤️ But take a bow Abdul and Jannik, both absolutely class.
  11. Wow, just wow. Immense performance, think he's earned a week off after 120 minutes of that.
  12. In those two away games against Forest - the FA Cup humbling and the embarrassing non-showing last season - Thomas played both and looked genuinely scared every time they came at him. He was appalling both games. I was absolutely livid at the team as a whole on both occasions, but having a local lad capitulate in such a manner not once but twice in a local derby he should have been fired up for was particularly telling. It spoke volumes of his wafer-thin mentality over those two seasons, and for me that's a man management issue, as proven by our squad's wider issues with a soft underbelly, failing to see games out and bottling success from good positions... ... please God don't let that happen again this season, I don't think I could take it. 😬
  13. more intensitee, better mentalitee
  14. Can't believe Richie Wellens got you banned, peak FoxesTalk this
  15. Don't do that to me before I've had morning coffee.
  16. According to this forum we'll finish 11th then.
  17. Sad example of a promising young talent whose early confidence was shot to pieces by the man management masterclass of Brendan Rodgers. Thrown into the side due to injuries but then exposed to two of the worst years we've had to endure, where his mistakes were noticeable but part of a wider malaise. The lad who scored a belter at Man Utd. in a famous away win seems lost forever. Never once do I recall Brendan publicly defending him after games, or even hinting that a young lad like him thrown in at the deep end might need an arm round the shoulder when things went south. Ironically I think he'd have flourished under Enzo based purely on my belief that he has the basic ability to motivate players, but his skillset is far better suited to a counter-attacking outlet. He lacked the utility factor that has allowed the likes of Ricky P and Justin to flourish. He's an old-school pacy fullback who found himself having to play slow, labourious possession-for-possession's sake football, often with his back to goal, and eventually became a bombscare as we began to lose week in week out. He never got a chance to develop on the ball in the pressure cooker of 2021-23. Instead he's been through a few poor loan spells where he's not been able to get the managerial support he direly needed from day one, and now finds himself considered not good enough for a mid -table second tier side. I feel bad for him, but at the same time the boat has been well and truly missed not having him hone his craft in L1 / L2, which many now seem to think is his ceiling. Just another charge to add to the list in the trial of Rodgers for crimes against football.
  18. Just realised that. We're fooked.
