  1. The military is a different ball game. At the end of the day everyone knows what they signed up for. On joining the military you know you may travel to potential war or on tour. You are still entitled to paternity, not sure how that works in the military or how soon you can leave. My job involves work away for an international company. I know this I can choose to quit should I really dislike it. There are times you do what you have to do to provide, obviously people have different views on what and what isn’t acceptable. I kind of feel it’s not unreasonable when being a well paid player for Leicester city to be requested to stay a few nights away in Leicester if required by your manager. The point being I don’t think it’s particularly unreasonable for an employer to request stuff whoever they are if the legal requirements have been met. To me getting stroppy when you have made the decision to commute 4hrs is silly. He just needs to crack on. It’s the entitlement that bothers me. Anyway it’s done now, he also needs to start afresh. Again if he’s performing on the pitch no one can really say anything. If he doesn’t want to be here he knows where the M1 is.
  2. Maybe, he gets paid millions of quid to play a ****ing game a few times a week whilst the rest of us graft hard to afford a 500 quid ticket to watch him sulk. Do I expect to see a bit of commitment from players representing my city? - yes and I won’t apologise for that.
  3. He also needs to do the same, that’s the issue. He needs to treat it as a fresh start. He is the best midfielder we have and if he performs he can do whatever the **** he wants. If he pulls on the blue shirt gives 100% he or any other player I will back. I won’t ever boo at games.
  4. I mean what does he expect?! He’s payed a lot of money to play for and represent the club, he should have been fined.
  5. I’d hazard a guess every footballers contract requires time away from home surely for away games?
  6. They performed on the pitch Arguably last season Winks didn’t (along with many), it wasn’t unreasonable for a manager to question that and do whatever he thought might help. Can he deliver now? Maybe, I’m willing to give him the benefit of the doubt if he gives his all which he did at the weekend.
  7. Well if his wife didn’t want to Live in Leicestershire he probably should have never signed for Leicester, I dunno maybe crazy!!? It just seems wrong. First season I liked winks, I still think he’s a decent player but he needs to draw a line in the sand or **** off, no point moping about.
  8. Then sign for a different club! Don’t sulk
  9. It’s just the general entitlement he plays for Leicester City, maybe be in Leicester. It’s really no wonder some of these players have no connection of affinity to the area, they aren’t invested in it. How can you fight for a represent a city you have only ever been to on an open top bus tour?If he wanted to be based down south sure MK Dons would have him, maybe the wage would be a bit less but it’s all about the fam right?!
  10. At lot of contracts in my role will require work away from home and internationally. To be honest mostly it’s an expenses paid trip to somewhere I might not go, so I’m not exactly sure what I’m fighting against. If the company needs work doing in the US and there is no work in the UK, more specifically the midlands what do you expect my fight is going to do? They can’t just employ me to sit and do **** all because of rights. I’d say that would maybe lead to the company saying **** that and closing down my office?! I don’t know.
  11. That applies to you. Which is fine. Winks chose to come and play at Leicester, I wouldn’t think it unreasonable for him to have a contract at Leicester and be expected to be at Leicester if the club requires to be honest. It’s rumoured 1 day in a week. Obviously our definition of unreasonable differs somewhat which is fine.
  12. If you think so I must be. I think most people will do the jobs they are paid to do, if the alternative is work or no work. Just because footballers are entitled doesn’t mean they should throw their toys out of the pram. If I had 2 weeks of Winks pay I could live for 4 years! End of the day if you don’t like a job quit but it’s reasonable for someone who pays your wage to ask you to do something. Sure he can mutually terminate if he doesn’t like it.
  13. So you would quit your job and make your family homeless whilst your wife was in maternity? Not ideal? I couldn’t risk that. Boss wasn’t particularly nobish, the work was in the US, there was no work at home then for me to to do. I got decent pay, expenses etc out of it.
  14. 4-1 preston
  15. If the cap fits
  16. It’s not really that easy though is it. You are at work, you have a kid, your boss says work away for a week, you aren’t a millionaire are you really going to risk your job? Take employers to court etc…no because you aren’t an entitled bellend. You do what you have to do to survive and provide. Footballers will never understand that. Would I have loved to have been home everyday off course but I would also have had to quit work as the job that needed doing was away from home, much like when you play for Leicester city it’s reasonable to expect to spend sometime in errrr Leicester.
  17. Well best way to shut the fans up is consistently deliver and win, if you are good enough and still hate them you can then move elsewhere. What’s an issue is when players don’t put in the commitment, quality and effort to back up their bravado. If Winks come in knuckles down and commands the midfield, he can be as ****ing miserable as he likes if he is delivering. It’s a bit entitled to think you can be in one of our worst ever squads and expect to be backed. Leicester fans will back players who give their all even if they are a bit shit. What we are not about if 50% players who don’t deliver.
  18. **** knows all soft southern land though, basically the same, I thought he was South of London, could be wrong.
  19. Most of them signed by Rudkin Rudders probably sees a fancy foreign name and assumes they are going to be good, that’s the only explanation. That or get someone from Southampton
  20. Exactly I’d never actively boo them but dsmn right they are open to criticism. The bare minimum I expect to see is some fight. Tbf to Faes he always put in a shift, just sometimes his brain seems to be lost in his hair. I though winks put in an okay shift Saturday.
  21. How can a club of our size have no sponsor? Even Sunday league teams have sponsors, surely any contribution is something. Just shows general levels of pure incompetence.
  22. And the defenders are all wank and can’t defend. All in all a truly magnificent squad assembled by the Director of football
  23. Lad needs to get a grip of reality. When I had a new born daughter I had to work away all week to provide for them. These footballers are too entitled. If they don’t like it get a proper job! Turning in a shift like these willy pullers have for the past 2 years would see them fired in most workplaces.
  24. Thing is players can’t have this attitude. They are paid a **** tonne to perform and represent this club. If they hate it that much ****ing mutually cancel contract, entitled ****ing bellends.
  25. He’s obviously home sick for Surrey. To be honest I’m not really sure how you can play for a city and not be invested in living there, why would you care. It might work for a few but seemingly not him. He’s still by far the best midfielder we have which is somewhat unfortunate
